Bike & Spa is a joint initiative of tourism players from Podravje, Pomurje from Slovenia and Thermenland and Vulkanland from Austria. With projects Regio Vitalis and Flagship Products, these regions have already implemented exemplary cooperation projects in the culinary field and want to continue this successful story in the future. The common border region has many services and offers in common, which have not yet been given enough attention in cross border cooperation. All regions included in the project have spas and wellness hotels. And in recent years, they have developed new networks of cycling routes and offers at a regional level to take advantage of the increasingly important trend of cycling for pleasure. The aim of the Bike & Spa project is to combine the three main advantages of the border region and use them for a new, sustainable, cross-border tourism with high added value. In Central Europe, there are countless places with a varied culinary offer, with a rich thermal and wellness offer or with a varied network of cycling routes. The combination of these three advantages in one region is unique: guests can cycle through beautiful diverse natural and cultural landscape in the morning, relax in 12 unique thermal and wellness areas in the afternoon, and enjoy the incomparable culinary diversity of the region in the evening. More and more vacationers are dreaming of just that. However, in order to meet the demands of the growing number of e-bike riders, larger networks of cycling routes with longer distances are needed. In the regions of the project area, this is only possible if we cooperate across borders. A new innovative product of cooperation will be the Tour and Bike Route of the Twelve Thermal Baths as the main result of the project. It will combine the most beautiful sections of the existing cycling routes, such as Eurovelo 9, Thermenradweg, Murradweg and the Drava and also Slovenske Gorice cycling route, and will connect all 12 thermal baths along the route. We will develop and advertise attractive Bike & Spa holiday packages around this main cycling route and the incoming routes of the Feistritztalradweg and Raabtalradweg. A comprehensive package of cross-border activities and measures will ensure a high level of quality on both sides of the border. The main work of cooperation is the creation of a joint master plan for the expansion of a high-quality cross-border network of cycling routes and the development of a joint cycling and wellness offer. This development is based on a detailed assessment of the possible risks to nature and the environment due to the growing cycling tourism. Based on this, we will develop strategies and measures to ensure sustainable visitor management prepared for bicycle tourists and include them in the master plan. This master plan is the final result of the work package for the future. In order for the bicycle tourism offer to be successful, a large number of companies that will cooperate as partners are needed. Work package 2 will contribute to thermal baths, hotels, restaurants, farms, excursion destinations, bike rental companies, services, public transport, transport companies, travel agencies and many other service companies participating in the development and implementation of new joint Bike offers & Spa. The Green Bike & Spa Academy will offer training to all participating businesses to impart the skills needed to develop a forward-looking cycling offering. In addition to partner companies, the bilateral offer of bicycle tours requires qualified bicycle guides with cross-border expertise. They will be trained in this project for the first time in the Bike & Spa project and will be another important result of the project. The contents of work package 3 are supplementary services for the Tour and Route of the Twelve Thermal Spas in connection with information and mobility. Overview information boards in a common cross-border design provide information about the course of the tour at strategic points. The newly innovative developed mobility service in the surroundings of the Tour and Route of the Twelve Thermas takes care of the possibilities of carbon-free travel, creates solutions for bicycle rental and luggage transport, and organizes comprehensive emergency services for problems of all kinds. A targeted advertising campaign and a smart information system for cycling holidays will ensure that this new offer is known from the very beginning. Bike & Spa je skupna pobuda turističnih akterjev v regijah Podravja, Pomurja in Thermen- und Vulkanland na avstrijski strani. Ta regija je s projektoma Regio Vitalis in Flagship Products že izvedle zgledna projekta sodelovanja na področju kulinarike in vodilnih produktov regije in želijo to zgodbo o uspehu nadaljevati s sinergijskimi učinki. Skupna obmejna regija ima veliko skupnih turističnih produktov, ki jim v sodelovanju še ni bilo posvečeno dovolj pozornosti. Vse destinacije in regije, vključene v projekt, imajo termalne ponudnike in velnes hotele* (v projektu uporabljamo velnes in wellness). In v zadnjih letih so razvile nova omrežja kolesarskih poti in povezav ter ponudbe na regionalni ravni, da bi izkoristili vse pomembnejši trend kolesarjenja za užitek in prosti čas. Cilj projekta Bike & Spa je združiti tri glavne prednosti obmejne regije in jih uporabiti za nov, trajnosten, čezmejni turizem z visoko dodano vrednostjo. V Srednji Evropi je nešteto krajev s pestro kulinarično ponudbo, z bogato termalno in velnes ponudbo ali z razgibano mrežo kolesarskih poti. Kombinacija teh treh prednosti v eni regiji pa je edinstvena: gostje lahko dopoldne kolesarijo po raznoliki naravni in kulturni pokrajini, popoldne se sprostijo v 12 edinstvenih termalnih in velnes območjih ter zvečer uživajo v neprimerljivi kulinarični raznolikosti regije. Na podlagi tega bomo razvili strategije in ukrepe za zagotovitev trajnostnega managementa obiskovalcev pripravljenega za kolesarske turiste in jih vključili v krovni načrt. Ta krovni načrt je končno rezultat delovnega paketa. Da bi bila ponudba kolesarskega turizma uspešna, je potrebno veliko število podjetij in ponudnikov, ki bodo sodelovala kot partnerji na trajnostni ravni. Ciljno usmerjena oglaševalska kampanja in inovativen pameten informacijski sistem za kolesarske počitnice bosta poskrbela, da bo nova ponudba, ustvarjena in oblikovana v projektu znana že od samega začetka. Es gibt unzählige Orte in Mitteleuropa mit vielfältigen kulinarischen Angeboten, mit umfangreichen Thermen- und Wellnessangeboten oder mit vielseitigen Radwegenetzen. Sie wird die schönsten Abschnitte der bestehenden Radwege wie Eurovelo 9, Thermenradweg, Murradweg, Drauradweg und Slovenske Gorice Radtour miteinander kombinieren und auf ihrem Weg alle 12 Thermen verbinden. Rund um diese Leittour und hochrangige Zubringer wie Feistritztalradweg und Raabtalradweg werden attraktive Bike & Spa Urlaubspakete entwickelt und beworben werden. Ein umfassendes Paket an grenzüberschreitenden Aktivitäten und Maßnahmen wird dafür sorgen, dass auf beiden Seiten der Grenze ein hohes gemeinsames Qualitätslevel sichergestellt wird. Diese Erarbeitung erfolgt auf Grundlage einer ausführlichen Evaluierung möglicher Risiken für Natur- und Umwelt durch einen steigenden Radtourismus. Darauf aufbauend werden Strategien und Maßnahmen zur Sicherung eines nachhaltiges Besuchermanagement für Radtouristen erarbeitet und in den Masterplan integriert. Dieser Masterplan ist schließlich der Output des Arbeitspakets. Damit radtouristische Angebote erfolgreich sein können, braucht es eine Vielzahl an betrieblichen Kooperationspartnern. Das Arbeitspaket 2 trägt dazu bei, dass sich Thermen, Hotels, Restaurants, landwirtschaftliche Betriebe, Ausflugsziele, Radverleihbetriebe, Reparaturbetriebe, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel, Transportbetriebe, Reiseagenturen und viele weitere Dienstleistungsunternehmen an der Entwicklung und Umsetzung neuer gemeinsamer Bike & Spa Angebote beteiligen. V projektu Flagship Products je bilo vzpostavljeno zelo uspešno turistično sodelovanje med regijami Pomurje, Podravje, Thermenland-Vulkanland in Oststeiermark na področju kulinarike in turizma. Med izvajanjem projekta Flagship Products je postalo očitno, da imajo regije veliko skupnih prednosti in imajo tako možnost, da se intenzivno učijo druga od druge in da se tržijo v zunanji svet s skupnim profilom. S pričujočim projektom bomo sodelovanje med državama razširili s kulinarike še na dve novi žarišči in sicer kolesarski in wellness turizem.

Kulinarika je poleg kolesarskega in wellness turizma tretji pomemben steber regije. Ker pa je to področje že dobro obdelano, se v tem sodelovalnem projektu skupaj razvijata kolesarjenje in wellness. (SL), x (EN), Mehrere Partner des gegenständlichen Projektes aus Slowenien und Österreich haben am Projekt Flagship Products, einem INTERREG SI-AT Projekt der Periode 2014-2020, teilgenommen. Im Projekt Flagship Products konnte eine sehr erfolgreiche touristische Zusammenarbeit der Regionen Pomurje, Podravje, Thermenland-Vulkanland und Oststeiermark in den Bereichen Kulinarik und Tourismus aufgebaut werden. Im Zuge der Umsetzung von Flagship Products hat sich gezeigt, dass die Regionen viele gemeinsame Stärken haben und damit die Möglichkeit haben, intensiv voneinander zu lernen und sich mit einem gemeinsamen Profil nach außen zu vermarkten. Mit dem gegenständlichen Projekt soll nun die Kooperation zwischen den beiden Ländern von der Kulinarik auf die beiden neuen Schwerpunkte Radtourismus und Wellnesstourismus ausgeweitet werden. Die neue Leittour Bike & Spa wird dabei nicht nur auf die positiven Erfahrungen der Zusammenarbeit, sondern auch auf die Ergebnisse von Flagship Products im Bereich der Kulinarik aufbauen. Kulinarik ist das dritte große Standbein der Region neben Rad- und Wellnesstourismus. Da dieses aber bereits gut aufbereitet wurde, werden in diesem Kooperationsprojekt die Themen Rad und Wellness gemeinsam entwickelt. (DE), Veloregio (SL), Veloregio (DE), x (EN) | x (EN), V obdobju INTERREG 2014 do 2020 je regionalni razvoj Vzhodne Štajerske zelo uspešno razvil projekt Veloregio skupaj s partnerji iz Gradiščanske, Spodnje Avstrije in Madžarske ter v stalnem usklajevanju s turističnim združenjem Regijsko turistično zvezo Thermen und Vulkanland. V tem projektu je bil razvit skupni glavni načrt za skupno kolesarsko območje na obeh straneh Wechsel in Geschreibenstein. Rezultat je bila zasnova gorsko kolesarske osi vzdolž grebena od Wechsela do Geschreibensteina ter skupna zasnova in trženje obrečnih kolesarskih poti kot kolesarske nihalke s 7 dolinami. Skupni glavni načrt je prispeval k temu, da vse vključene regije sedaj veliko vlagajo z lastnimi sredstvi v širitev opredeljenih glavnih osi poti. Hkrati so bili sprejeti številni dodatni ukrepi za izdelavo celovite ponudbe visokokakovostnih kolesarskih storitev.
Projekt Bike & Spa ima koristi od tistih delov dvostranskega avstro-ogrskega kolesarskega načrta, ki zajemajo severni del regije Thermen- und Vulkanland in jih projekt lahko prevzame.Prav tako ima koristi od obsežnega znanja in izkušenj, ki je bilo zgrajeno v tem projektu in je v celoti na voljo Regijski turistični zvezi Thermen und Vulkanland kot tesnemu partnerju za sodelovanje na vzhodnem Štajerskem.
(SL), Die Regionalentwicklung Oststeiermark hat in der INTERREG Periode 2014 bis 2020 sehr erfolgreich gemeinsam mit Partnern aus dem Burgenland, Niederösterreich und Ungarn und in laufender Abstimmung mit dem Tourismusverband Thermen- und Vulkanland das Projekt Veloregio entwickelt. In diesem Projekt wurde ein gemeinsamer Masterplan für das gemeinsame Radfahrgebiet beiderseits des Wechsels und des Geschriebensteins entwickelt. Ergebnisse waren die Konzeption einer Mountainbikeachse entlang des Höhenzugs vom Wechsel bis zum Geschriebenstein und die gemeinsame Konzeption und Vermarktung der Flussradwege als 7-Täler Radschaukel. Der gemeinsame Masterplan hat dazu beigetragen, dass mittlerweile alle beteiligten Regionen mit eigenen Mitteln massiv in den Ausbau der definierten Hauptachsen investieren. Parallel dazu wurden auch viele ergänzende Maßnahmen zum Aufbau eines umfassenden Radangebots in hoher Qualität gesetzt.
Das Projekt Bike & Spa profitiert von jenen Teilen des bilateralen Radmasterplans Österreich-Ungarn, die den nörlichen Teil des Thermen- und Vulkanlandes umfassen und vom Projekt übernommen werden können. Es profitiert auch vom umfangreichen Know-How, das in diesem Projekt aufgebaut wurde und dem Tourismusverband Thermen- und Vulkanland als engem Kooperationspartner der Oststeiermark in vollem Umfang zur Verfügung steht. EUStrategyAlpineRegion Die EU-Strategie für den Alpenraum fordert konzertierte Ansätze zur Entwicklung des Tourismus, bei denen die Entwicklung neuer Angebote, die Kooperation mit Unternehmen und die Weiterbildung der Fachkräfte ineinandergreifen. Das Projekt Bike & Spa entwickelt deshalb einen neuen grenzüberschreitenden Masterplan mit einer neuen Leittour, bindet die Unternehmen aktiv ein und setzt gezielte Weiterbildungsmaßnahmen, um die erforderlichen Fachkräfte auszubilden.
EUStrategyDanubeRegion Projekt Bike & Spa podpira cilje 4. prednostne naloge strategije Podonavja Kultura in turizem. Eden glavnih ciljev projekta Bike & Spa je turistom kolesarjem in wellness turistom omogočiti naravi prija-zen dostop do posebnosti regionalnega kulturnega in naravnega področja. Usmerjene vodenja tur in informacijski sistemi zagotavljajo, da imajo kolesarji možnost izkusiti posebnosti regionalnega naravnega in kulturnega področja, ne da bi ga poškodovali ali mu škodovali.
