• EUStrategyDanubeRegion The target of the European Strategy is to Transform the EU economy for a sustainable future by designing a set of deeply transformative policies such as Building and renovating in an energy and resource efficient way, Preserving and restoring ecosystems and Biodiversity, A zero pollution ambition for a toxic-free environment The EnviroConnect project that we porpose is 100% in line with the European Green Deal initiative. 1. The infrastructure, the 6 parks foreseen to be developed within the project shall be built in an energy/resource efficient way, all subsequent activities implied in the project shall take into consideration efficiency guidelines, nothing will be wasted, and procurement shall be green, as much as possible. 2. The Objective of the EnviroConnect project and of the Priority of the Program is to enhance the protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure and reducing all forms of pollution, thus both items, Preserving and restoring ecosystems and Biodiversity and A zero pollution ambition for a toxic-free environment of the Green Deal are followed. By the development of the 6 parks, we are restoring the local biodiversity and ecosystem while mitigating pollution by planting trees and producing fresh air.
• TerritorialAgenda2030 Both of the 2 overarching objectives of the Territorial Agenda are observed within our EnviroConnect project. A balanced Europe, Functional regions and Integration Beyond borders objectives subsequent to A Just Europe objective are reached. Within our project the municipality of Ivanovo and the Local Authority of Piatra Olt cooperate for a balanced territorial development. The development of the 6 parks will not only improve the well being of the population in the areas but will also create an impact on the local economy by stimulating the tourism potential and strengthening socio economic prosperity. By this, the cooperation between the 2 regions shall be strengthened, long-term cooperation strategies might be developed and easier living and working across national borders might arise. Our project also observes the Healthier environment objective whilst the local communities of Ivanovo and Piatra Olt are empowered within the project to protect, rehabilitate, utilize / reutilize their (built) environments and landscapes and to strengthen awareness on environmental issues.

• Other National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (2015-2025): This strategy outlines Bulgaria's commitment to conserving biodiversity, including the protection and restoration of ecosystems, which can involve investments in green areas
• Other EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 and EU Nature Restoration Plan: Habitat Restoration and Creation: Urban parks serve as vital green spaces that mimic natural habitats; Enhanced Biodiversity: Urban parks act as biodiversity hotspots by supporting a diverse range of flora and fauna; Connectivity: Urban parks can function as green corridors or stepping stones in an otherwise built-up landscape. Carbon Sequestration: Trees and vegetation in urban parks can capture and store carbon dioxide, helping to mitigate climate change. As part of the EU's broader environmental objectives, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing carbon sequestration are crucial.
