Project - Developing a common strategy to prevent the drying up of water resources

Description (EN):

The aim of the project is to use the partners' experience in the field of water ecosystem care and to implement joint measures to prevent and eliminate the risks of drying up of water resources and ecosystems in the regions of Valašské Meziříčí and Žilina. The project includes site surveys and assessments, as well as the development of a joint strategy to combat landscape drying and water loss. The pilot project will be the restoration and cleaning of three wetland sites in Wallachia, which will serve as a practical demonstration of possible solutions. The results will be presented at an international seminar for municipalities, landowners, forest owners and the general public to raise awareness of the need for revitalisation measures.

Cieľom projektu je využitie skúseností partnerov v oblasti starostlivosti o vodné ekosystémy a realizácia spoločných opatrení na prevenciu a odstránenie rizík vysychania vodných zdrojov a ekosystémov v regiónoch Valašskomeziříčí a Žilina. Projekt zahŕňa prieskum a hodnotenie lokalít, ako aj vypracovanie spoločnej stratégie na boj proti vysychaniu krajiny a strate vody. Pilotným projektom bude obnova a čistenie troch mokraďových lokalít na Valašsku, čo poslúži ako praktická ukážka možných riešení. Výsledky budú prezentované na medzinárodnom seminári pre obce, vlastníkov pôdy, lesov a širokú verejnosť, s cieľom zvýšiť povedomie o potrebe revitalizačných opatrení.
