Industry is an important driver of the economy in the border region. It guarantees a lot of jobs and has invested heavily in sustainable and digital applications in recent years. Yet companies are finding it increasingly difficult to fill their vacancies. Technical profiles in particular are scarce. The reason is that still too few young people and adults choose for technical (re)education. This is partly due to the image of technical jobs and training. However, the rise of Industry 4.0 offers many opportunities for more workable jobs, but also implies that jobs are changing and thus new knowledge and competences are needed. To support companies in their search for technical talent, SKILLS4.0 focuses on the following objectives: 1. inform and sensitise young people and adults about the opportunities of I4.0 and show how I4.0 will change jobs. To this end, we will develop an educational workshop and build a mobile demonstrator with I4.0 technologies; 2. strengthen the existing training offer for technical professions so that it better meets the (future) needs of industry. We will map these competency needs and develop new training content and tools based on these needs. In addition, we are strongly committed to knowledge sharing and cooperation between the various training partners in the border region. In this way, we want to valorise the existing expertise and equipment as much as possible; 3. Strengthen the soft skills of jobseekers. Besides technical skills, soft skills are becoming increasingly important. We determine which of these are crucial in the context of I4.0 and explore whether innovative learning technologies such as VR can help teach these soft skills.

De industrie is een belangrijke motor voor de economie in de grensregio. Ze staat garant voor heel wat werkgelegenheid en heeft de laatste jaren sterk geïnvesteerd in duurzame en digitale toepassingen. Toch hebben bedrijven het steeds moeilijker om hun vacatures ingevuld te krijgen. Vooral technische profielen zijn schaars. De reden hiervoor is dat nog steeds te weinig jongeren en volwassenen kiezen voor een technische (om)scholing. Dit heeft deels te maken met het imago van technische jobs en opleidingen. De opkomst van industrie 4.0 biedt echter heel wat kansen voor meer werkbare jobs, maar impliceert ook dat jobs veranderen en dus nieuwe kennis en competenties nodig zijn. Om bedrijven te ondersteunen in hun zoektocht naar technisch talent, zetten we met SKILLS4.0 in op volgende doelstellingen: 1. jongeren en volwassenen informeren en sensibiliseren over de opportuniteiten van I4.0 en tonen hoe I4.0 jobs zal veranderen. We ontwikkelen hiervoor een educatieve workshop en bouwen een mobiele demonstrator met I4.0 technologieën; 2. het bestaande opleidingsaanbod voor technische beroepen versterken opdat het beter aansluiting vindt op de (toekomstige) noden van de industrie. We brengen deze competentienoden in kaart en ontwikkelen op basis hiervan nieuwe opleidingsinhouden en tools. Daarnaast zetten we sterk in op kennisdeling en samenwerking tussen de verschillende opleidingspartners in de grensregio. Op die manier willen we de bestaande expertise en uitrusting zo goed mogelijk valoriseren; 3. inzetten op het versterken van soft skills van werkzoekenden. Naast technische vaardigheden worden soft skills immers steeds belangrijker. We bepalen welke daarvan cruciaal zijn in de context van I4.0 en onderzoeken of innovatieve leertechnologieën zoals VR kunnen helpen om deze soft skills aan te leren.

L'industrie est un moteur important de l'économie dans la région frontalière. Elle garantit de nombreux emplois et a beaucoup investi dans les applications durables et numériques ces dernières années. Pourtant, les entreprises ont de plus en plus de mal à pourvoir leurs postes vacants. Les profils techniques, en particulier, sont rares. La raison en est que trop peu de jeunes et d'adultes optent pour une (ré)éducation technique. Cela s'explique en partie par l'image des métiers et des formations techniques. Cependant, l'essor de l'industrie 4.0 offre de nombreuses opportunités pour des emplois plus faciles à occuper, mais implique également que les emplois évoluent et que de nouvelles connaissances et compétences sont donc nécessaires. Pour soutenir les entreprises dans leur recherche de talents techniques, SKILLS4.0 se concentre sur les objectifs suivants : 1. informer et sensibiliser les jeunes et les adultes sur les opportunités de l'I4.0 et montrer comment l'I4.0 va changer les emplois. À cette fin, nous développerons un atelier éducatif et construirons un démonstrateur mobile avec des technologies I4.0 ; 2. renforcer l'offre de formation existante pour les professions techniques afin qu'elle réponde mieux aux besoins (futurs) de l'industrie. Nous allons cartographier ces besoins en compétences et développer de nouveaux contenus et outils de formation basés sur ces besoins. En outre, nous sommes fortement engagés dans le partage des connaissances et la coopération entre les différents organismes de formation dans la région frontalière. De cette manière, nous voulons aussi valoriser autant que possible l'expertise et l'équipement existants ; 3. renforcer les compétences non techniques des demandeurs d'emploi. En effet, outre les compétences techniques, les compétences non techniques deviennent de plus en plus importantes. Nous déterminons lesquelles sont cruciales dans le contexte de l'I4.0 et examinons si des technologies d'apprentissage innovantes telles que la RV peuvent contribuer à enseigner ces compétences non techniques .

Expected Achievements (EN):

1. We translate this general objective into the following specific objectives: 1. Identify the (future) skills needs of companies and translate them into skills profiles. 2. Strengthen the knowledge of trainers and training developers through knowledge exchange, sharing of tools/methodologies, etc. 3. Develop modular training for 'Technician 4.0'. This MOT is led by Syntra West, in cooperation with other training organisations. Associate partners Technocampus, AFPA HdF, IFAPME, Technofutur TIC, Forem and Pôle Emploi actively participate. Sirris, POM and CETIM act as an expert/network partner and help establish contacts with companies and other organisations if necessary.

Expected Achievements (NL):

1. Erover waken dat het project voldoet aan de financieel, administratief en inhoudelijke verplichtingen van het Interreg programma, waaronder een tijdige indiening van de activiteitenrapporten en financiële declaraties en een kwaliteitsvolle organisatie en opvolging van de begeleidingscomités; 2. Toezien op een efficiënte, kwaliteitsvolle en grensoverschrijdende uitvoering van de voorziene activiteiten en een tijdige oplevering van de voorziene deliverables en indicatoren; 3. Waken over een goede, constructieve samenwerking tussen de projectpartners onderling en tussen de projectpartners en het Interreg programma. realisatie van acties en tools in functie van de algemene projectcommunicatie Om de instroom naar technische opleidingen te vergroten, zetten we met dit WP in op acties waarmee we het imago van technische jobs in de industrie willen versterken. Concreet willen we jongeren en werkzoekenden, maar ook bemiddelaars, werknemers... beter informeren over de kansen en voordelen van industrie 4.0 zodat zij een realistisch maar positief beeld hebben van hoe jobs de komende jaren onder invloed van digitalisering zullen evolueren. Om deze doelstelling te realiseren, zetten we in op: 1. de realisatie van een educatief pakket waarmee we jongeren informeren over I4.0 2. de realisatie van een mobiele demonstrator waarmee we volwassenen laten proeven van de verschillende I4.0 technologieën Om als technisch profiel in de industrie aan de slag te gaan, is het niet enkel belangrijk om over de nodige technische kennis en competenties te beschikken. Ook soft skills als probleemoplossend en kritisch denken... worden steeds belangrijker. Er bestaan heel wat innovatieve leermiddelen zoals AR/VR, serious games... om technische skills aan te leren. Het doel van dit WP is te onderzoeken of deze innovatieve leermiddelen ook nuttig kunnen zijn bij het versterken van soft skills. Hiertoe: 1. bepalen we welke soft skills in de context van I4.0 belangrijk zijn voor beroepen met een laag tot middelmatig kwalificatieniveau 2. brengen we bestaande digitale leermiddelen/tools in kaart 3. selecteren en testen we een viertal tools 4. integreren we deze tools in de beroepsopleidingen In dit 5e WP willen we inzetten op de ontwikkeling van een aanbod aan technische opleidingen dat beter afgestemd is op de (toekomstige) noden van de bedrijven. We vertalen deze algemene doelstelling naar volgende specifieke doelstellingen: 1. De (toekomstige) competentienoden van bedrijven in kaart brengen en doorvertalen naar één of meerdere competentieprofielen 2. De kennis van instructeurs en opleidingsontwikkelaars versterken door kennisuitwisseling, delen van tools/methodieken... 3. Een modulaire opleiding 'technieker 4.0' ontwikkelen Dit werkpakket wordt getrokken door Syntra West, in samenwerking met de andere opleidingspartners. De geassocieerde partners Technocampus, AFPA HdF, IFAPME, Technofutur TIC, Forem en Pôle Emploi nemen actief deel. Sirris, POM en CETIM fungeren als klankbord/netwerkpartner en helpen waar nodig contacten te leggen met bedrijven en andere organisaties.

Expected Achievements (FR):

1. Veiller à ce que le projet respecte les obligations financières, administratives et opérationnelles du programme Interreg, y compris la présentation en temps voulu des rapports d'activité et des déclarations de créances, ainsi que la qualité de l'organisation et du suivi des Comacs ; 2. Veiller à une mise en œuvre efficace, de qualité et transfrontalière des activités planifiées, ainsi que l'obtention en temps voulu des résultats et indicateurs prévus ; 3. Assurer une coopération constructive entre les partenaires du projet eux-mêmes et entre les partenaires du projet et le programme Interreg. la réalisation d'actions et d'outils en fonction de la communication globale du projet Afin d'augmenter l'afflux dans les formations techniques, ce MdT se concentre sur des actions visant à renforcer l'image des emplois techniques dans l'industrie. Plus précisément, nous voulons mieux informer les jeunes et les demandeurs d'emploi, mais aussi les conseillers, les employés... afin de leur donner une image réaliste mais positive de la manière dont les emplois évolueront dans les années à venir sous l'influence de la numérisation. Pour atteindre cet objectif, nous nous engageons à : 1. la réalisation d'un atelier éducatif par lequel nous informons les jeunes sur l'I4.0 2. la réalisation d'un démonstrateur mobile avec lequel nous faisons goûter aux adultes les différentes technologies I4.0 Pour travailler en tant que profil technique dans l'industrie, il n'est pas seulement important d'avoir les connaissances et les compétences techniques. Les compétences non techniques telles que la résolution de problèmes et la pensée critique deviennent de plus en plus importantes. Il existe de nombreux outils d'apprentissage innovants tels que la RV/RA, les serious games... pour enseigner les compétences techniques. L'objectif de ce MdT est d'étudier si ces outils d'apprentissage innovants peuvent également être utiles pour renforcer les compétences non techniques. À cette fin: 1. nous déterminerons quelles compétences non techniques sont mobilisables en situation professionnelle dans le contexte de l'I4.0, pour des métiers à niveau de qualification faible à modéré 2. nous recenserons les outils digitaux existants 3. nous sélectionnerons et expérimenterons 4 outils 4. nous intégrerons ces outils dans le parcours de formation aux métiers Dans ce 5ème MdT nous voulons nous concentrer sur le développement d'une offre de formation technique mieux adaptée aux besoins (futurs) des entreprises. Nous traduisons cet objectif général par les objectifs spécifiques suivants : 1. Identifier les (futurs) besoins en compétences des entreprises et les traduire en profils de compétences. 2. Renforcer les connaissances des formateurs et des développeurs de formation par l'échange de connaissances, le partage d'outils/méthodologies, etc. 3. Développer une formation modulaire pour 'technicien 4.0'. Ce MdT est mené par Syntra West, en coopération avec les autres organismes de formation. Les partenaires associés Technocampus, AFPA HdF, IFAPME, Technofutur TIC, Forem et Pôle Emploi participent activement. Sirris, le POM et CETIM jouent le rôle d'expert/partenaire de réseau et aident à établir des contacts avec des entreprises et d'autres organisations si nécessaire.

Duurzame Digitale Transformatie (DDT) (NL), Duurzame Digitale Transformatie (DDT) (FR) | DDT is een EFRO Vlaanderen project dat in juli 2023 door de POM werd ingediend. Naast de POM zijn o.m. ook Sirris en de B2B divisie van Syntra West (Skilliant) partner. Het heeft als doel om bedrijven via 'coach&care' trajecten te begeleiden bij het zetten van kleine stapjes richting I4.0.
Hiertoe voorziet het project o.m. volgende acties:
- Sirris investeert in de uitbouw van haar Experience Center in Kortrijk met nieuwe demonstratoren en labo-uitrusting, en in de ontwikkeling van een digital twin van een 'factory of the future';
- Skilliant zet in op talentontwikkeling: het organiseren van in-company en/of gemeenschappelijke opleidingssessies voor medewerkers van de betrokken bedrijven;
- de POM zet, samen met de andere partners, in op community building met bedrijven en kennispartners om zo bedrijven de kans te geven van elkaar te leren en elkaar te inspireren.
Indien DDT wordt goedgekeurd, kunnen volgende synergieën met SKILLS4.0 worden gerealiseerd:
- via de community werking staan de POM, Sirris en Skilliant in nauw contact met bedrijven, innovatiecentra en technologiepartners. Dit netwerk kan aangesproken worden voor de acties voorzien in SKILLS4.0;
- Wat Skilliant betreft, kan de kennis die wordt opgedaan bij het opleiden van werknemers van de bedrijven doorstromen naar Syntra West, waar deze kennis kan geïntegreerd worden in de opleidingsprogramma's voor werkzoekenden die in SKILLS4.0 worden ontwikkeld;
- De mobiele demonstratoren die Sirris via SKILLS4.0 verder wil uitbouwen, zijn complementair aan de investeringen in het Experience Center die voorzien zijn in DDT. Beide demonstratoren kunnen echter ingezet worden voor beide projecten. Bovendien kan de digital twin ook ingezet worden voor opleidings- (WP5 van SKILLS4.0) en sensibiliseringsdoeleinden (WP3 van SKILLS4.0). (NL), DDT est un projet FEDER Flandre soumis par le POM en juillet 2023. Outre POM, les partenaires comprennent Sirris et la division B2B de Syntra West (Skilliant). Il vise à guider les entreprises via des trajectoires "coach&care" en faisant de petits pas vers l'I4.0.
À cette fin, le projet comprend les actions suivantes :
- Sirris investit dans son centre d'expérience à Courtrai avec de nouveaux démonstrateurs et équipements de laboratoire, et dans le développement d'un jumeau numérique d'une "usine du futur" ;
- Skilliant travaille sur le développement des compétences en organisant des sessions de formation internes et/ou conjointes pour les employés des entreprises concernées ;
- le POM, avec les autres partenaires, mise sur la création d'un réseau d'entreprises et de partenaires de la connaissance pour donner aux entreprises la possibilité d'apprendre les unes des autres et de s'inspirer mutuellement.
Si le projet DDT est approuvé, les synergies suivantes avec SKILLS4.0 pourront être réalisées :
- grâce au réseau d'entreprises, POM, Sirris et Skilliant sont en contact étroit avec les entreprises, les centres d'innovation et les partenaires technologiques. Ce réseau peut être exploité pour les actions prévues dans SKILLS4.0 ;
- En ce qui concerne Skilliant, les connaissances acquises lors de la formation des employés des entreprises peuvent être transmises à Syntra West, où ces connaissances peuvent être intégrées dans les programmes de formation élaborés dans le cadre de SKILLS4.0 ;
- Les démonstrateurs mobiles que Sirris a l'intention de développer dans le cadre de SKILLS4.0 sont complémentaires des investissements dans le centre d'expérience fourni par DDT. Toutefois, les deux démonstrateurs peuvent être utilisés pour les deux projets. En outre, le jumeau numérique peut également être utilisé à des fins de formation (MdT5 de SKILLS4.0) et de sensibilisation (MdT3 de SKILLS4.0). Met SKILLS4.0 willen we de link leggen met de CoVe projecten die focussen op industrie 4.0, waaronder LCAMP, het CoVe project rond Advanced Manufacturing. In mei 2023 had POM reeds een kennismakingsgesprek met TKNIKA, de Baskische projectleider van dit project. (NL), En 2019, l'Union européenne, à travers le programme Erasmus+, a pris l'initiative de construire un réseau européen de Centres d'excellence professionnelle (CoVe). Plusieurs projets ont depuis vu le jour (l'un d'entre eux - T-Shore - se concentre notamment sur les compétences dans le domaine de l'énergie éolienne en mer. Contribution to wider strategies and policies:

Other SKILLS 4.0 draagt bij aan de Europese pijler van sociale rechten. Het gaat dan in het bijzonder om de doelstelling om tegen 2030 minstens 60% van alle volwassenen jaarlijks deel te laten nemen aan een opleiding. Via het organiseren van nieuwe/vernieuwde opleidingen, zowel voor technische vaardigheden als voor soft skills, willen we de vaardigheden en competenties van werkzoekenden in het bijzonder, en de burger in het algemeen versterken. De snelle technologische ontwikkelingen - in de industrie maar even goed in het dagelijkse leven - vereisen immers een minimum aanbod aan basisopleidingen opdat elk individu mee kan evolueren met deze ontwikkelingen en technologieën.
M.b.t. dit laatste (opleiding) is er ook een link met de doelstellingen van de European Skills Agenda

De cette manière, le projet contribue indirectement à la réalisation des ambitions du Green Deal européen.
