The main goal of the 3-years project ACCURE (starting in June 1st 2024) is a cross-border cooperation between Austrian and Czech partners in the "Research and Innovation" priority in the field of medicine and biotechnology. Universities (VUT, MU and JKU), research institutions (Profactor) and private companies (Enantis and Tiger) are involved. ACCURE focuses on the development of a new 3D-printed in vitro full-thickness skin model using innovative technologies and biotechnology that faithfully imitates the structure and function of the skin. This model will be used for testing drugs and therapeutic substances, e.g. for the healing of acute and chronic wounds (diabetic ulcers), healing of eczema, and other skin diseases, or for testing cosmetics, accelerating development of new drugs and materials, and avoiding the use of animal models, in line with the principles of the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction and Refinements). Companies and hospitals acting as strategic partners will have access to the results of the project. Overall, the availability of a realistic in vitro skin model will benefit various companies working in the field of wound and skin healing. It will facilitate the testing of additives, drugs and therapeutics and cosmetic products for various pharmaceutical companies, reducing the cost of testing (no animal testing). In the long-term, the quality of life of, for example, diabetic patients, will improve. In Europe alone, 66 million people live with diabetes. The Czech Republic has the 9th highest death rate from diabetes in the EU. Healing of acute and chronic wounds takes longer to heal in these patients. The full-thickness skin model should help these patients in two ways, first, accelerating the development and testing of new drugs and biomaterials, and second, with the future application of the skin model directly as implantable bioscaffold for tissue regeneration. The outputs of the project will be 2 publications in impacted Open Access journals, 1 functional sample (3D full-skin in vitro model), and a joint AT-CZ conference on medical 3D printing (m3d+it, Linz). Through this planned joint cross-border event, the project will strengthen cooperation between universities, research organizations and small and medium-sized companies in the Danube Region, as well as increase the awareness and visibility of science and innovation in the region. As part of the project, there will also be an exchange of know-how between cross-border partners, with involvement of young scientists and PhD students. Cross-border cooperation is absolutely necessary for this project because it will create a unique multidisciplinary team including (bio)technologists, chemists, physicists, biologists, engineers, doctors and private companies dealing with innovative technologies and regenerative medicine. The innovative 3D printing technology used in the project is the know-how of the research institution Profactor (Steyr, AT). The raw biodegradable material for this technology is developed at the Johannes Kepler University (Linz, AT), and it is processed and upscaled by the company TIGER (Wels, AT). The Czech side, specifically the main investigator at CEITEC VUT (Brno, CZ), will ensure the biological modification of 3D printed biodegradable materials with healing proteins (stabilized growth factors) from Enantis s.r.o. (Brno, CZ) and material testing in terms of their stability, reactions to the physiological environment, release of bioactive substances, etc. Masaryk University Brno (Department of Histology) will provide cytotoxicity and biocompatibility evaluation, including tests of possible blood circulation of the prepared materials. Strategic partners FN Brno (Clinic of Burns and Plastic Surgery) and KUK (Maxillofacial department) will supervise the management of wounds. KUK will also host the m3d+it event in Linz. The in vitro full-skin model will be tested by the strategic partners, CompreVie (Vienna, AT), TCC (Vienna, AT) and Hemcon, (Brno, CZ). Finally, the clusters MTC (Linz, AT) and ASTR (Vienna, AT) will be involved for communication and dissemination of the project. The entire team is therefore completely interconnected and individual partners have their specific roles. Without the financial support of the presented project, this unique union ACCURE of Regenerative Medicine could not have been established and cooperated. Long-term cooperation is also expected within the Horizon Europe projects, which the mentioned partners will try to submit together.

Hlavním cílem tříletého projektu ACCURE (od 1. června 2024) je přeshraniční spolupráce rakouských a českých partnerů se zaměřením na „výzkum a inovace“ v oblasti medicíny a biotechnologií. Zapojeny jsou univerzity (VUT, MU a JKU), výzkumné instituce (Profactor) i soukromé společnosti (Enantis a Tiger). ACCURE se zaměřuje na vývoj nového 3D tištěného modelu kůže v plné tloušťce in vitro s využitím inovativních technologií a biotechnologií, které věrně replikují strukturu a funkci kůže. Tento model se může použít pro testování léků a terapeutických látek, např. k hojení akutních a chronických ran (diabetické vředy), k hojení ekzémů a jiných kožních onemocnění nebo k testování kosmetiky, k urychlení vývoje nových léků a materiálů a k eliminaci používání zvířecích modelů v souladu s principy 3R (Replacement, Reduction, Refinements). Společnosti a nemocnice, které vystupují jako strategičtí partneři, budou mít přístup k výsledkům projektu. Celkově bude dostupnost realistického modelu kůže in vitro přínosem pro různé společnosti působící v oblasti hojení ran a kůže. Usnadní testování aditiv, léků, léčiv a kosmetických produktů pro různé farmaceutické společnosti a sníží náklady na testování (bez testování na zvířatech). Z dlouhodobého hlediska se zlepší kvalita života například diabetiků. Jen v Evropě žije 66 milionů lidí s cukrovkou. Česká republika má devátou nejvyšší úmrtnost na cukrovku v EU. U těchto pacientů se akutní a chronické rány hojí déle. Model kůže v plné tloušťce má těmto pacientům pomoci dvěma způsoby: zaprvé urychlením vývoje a testováním bezpečnosti nových léků a biomateriálů a zadruhé budoucí aplikací modelu kůže přímo jako implantovatelného biologického nosiče pro regeneraci tkání. Výsledkem projektu budou 2 publikace v open access časopisech, 1 funkční vzorek (3D in vitro model kůže v plné tloušťce) a společná AT-CZ konference o lékařském 3D tisku (m3d+it, Linz). Prostřednictvím této plánované společné přeshraniční akce projekt posílí spolupráci mezi univerzitami, výzkumnými organizacemi a malými a středními podniky v Podunají a také zvýší povědomí a viditelnost vědy a inovací v regionu. V rámci projektu bude probíhat i výměna know-how mezi přeshraničními partnery se zapojením mladých vědců a doktorandů. Přeshraniční spolupráce je pro tento projekt zásadní, protože vytvoří unikátní multidisciplinární tým (bio)technologů, chemiků, fyziků, biologů, inženýrů, lékařů a soukromých společností pracujících na inovativních technologiích i v regenerativní medicíně. Inovativní technologie 3D tisku použitá v projektu je know-how výzkumné organizace Profactor (Steyr, AT). Biologicky odbouratelná surovina pro tuto technologii je vyvinuta na Univerzitě Johannese Keplera (Linz, AT) a zpracovávána a upravována společností TIGER (Wels, AT). Česká strana, zejména hlavní řešitel CEITEC VUT (Brno, CZ), podpoří biologickou modifikaci 3D tištěných biodegradabilních materiálů hojivými proteiny (stabilizované růstové faktory) od firmy Enantis s.r.o. (Brno, CZ) a zajistí testování materiálů z hlediska jejich stability, reakcí ve fyziologickém prostředí, uvolňování bioaktivních látek atd. Masarykova univerzita Brno (Ústav histologie) provede posouzení cytotoxicity a biokompatibility včetně testů možného krevního oběhu připravených materiálů. Na péči o rány budou dohlížet strategičtí partneři FN Brno (Klinika popálenin a plastické chirurgie) a KUK (Klinika maxilofaciální chirurgie). KUK také pořádá každoročně akci m3d+it v Linci. In vitro model kůže v plné tloušťce budou testovat strategičtí partneři CompreVie (Vídeň, AT), TCC (Vídeň, AT) a Hemcon (Brno, CZ). Nakonec se do komunikace a šíření projektu zapojí klastry MTC (Linz, AT) a ASTR (Vídeň, AT). Celý tým je tedy plně propojený a jednotliví partneři mají své specifické role. Bez finanční podpory prezentovaného projektu by tato unikátní unie regenerativní medicíny ACCURE nemohla vzniknout a spolupracovat. Očekává se také dlouhodobá spolupráce v rámci projektů Horizon Europe, které se zmínění partneři snaží společně podat.

Das Hauptziel des dreijährigen Projekts ACCURE (Start 1. Juni 2024) ist eine grenzüberschreitende Zusammenarbeit zwischen österreichischen und tschechischen Partnern im Schwerpunkt „Forschung und Innovation“ im Bereich Medizin und Biotechnologie. Beteiligt sind Universitäten (VUT, MU und JKU), Forschungseinrichtungen (Profactor) und private Unternehmen (Enantis und Tiger). ACCURE konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung eines neuen 3D-gedruckten In-vitro-Hautmodells unter Verwendung innovativer Technologien und Biotechnologien, welches die Struktur und Funktion der Haut originalgetreu nachahmt. Dieses Modell wird zum Testen von Arzneimitteln und therapeutischen Substanzen verwendet, z.B. zur Heilung akuter und chronischer Wunden (diabetische Geschwüre), zur Heilung von Ekzemen und anderen Hauterkrankungen oder zum Testen von Kosmetika, zur Beschleunigung der Entwicklung neuer Medikamente und Materialien und zur Vermeidung der Verwendung von Tiermodellen im Einklang mit den Grundsätzen der 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction and Refinements). Unternehmen und Krankenhäuser, die als strategische Partner fungieren, erhalten Zugriff auf die Ergebnisse des Projekts. Insgesamt wird die Verfügbarkeit eines realistischen In-vitro-Hautmodells verschiedenen Unternehmen zugute kommen, die im Bereich der Wund- und Hautheilung tätig sind. Es wird das Testen von Zusatzstoffen, Arzneimitteln, Therapeutika und Kosmetikprodukten für verschiedene Pharmaunternehmen erleichtern und die Testkosten senken (keine Tierversuche). Langfristig wird sich die Lebensqualität beispielsweise von Diabetikern verbessern. Allein in Europa leben 66 Millionen Menschen mit Diabetes. Die Tschechische Republik hat die neunthöchste Diabetes-Sterblichkeitsrate in der EU. Bei diesen Patienten dauert die Heilung akuter und chronischer Wunden länger. Das Vollhautmodell soll diesen Patienten auf zwei Arten helfen: erstens durch die Beschleunigung der Entwicklung und Erprobung neuer Medikamente und Biomaterialien und zweitens durch die zukünftige Anwendung des Hautmodells direkt als implantierbares Biogerüst für die Geweberegeneration. Die Ergebnisse des Projekts werden: 2 Veröffentlichungen in betroffenen Open-Access-Zeitschriften, 1 Funktionsprobe (3D Vollhaut-In-vitro-Modell) und eine gemeinsame AT-CZ-Konferenz zum medizinischen 3D-Druck (m3d+it, Linz) sein. Durch diese geplante gemeinsame grenzüberschreitende Veranstaltung wird das Projekt die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Universitäten, Forschungsorganisationen und kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen im Donau-Raum stärken sowie das Bewusstsein und die Sichtbarkeit von Wissenschaft und Innovation in der Region erhöhen. Im Rahmen des Projekts findet auch ein Know-how-Austausch zwischen grenzüberschreitenden Partnern unter Einbindung von Nachwuchswissenschaftlern und Doktoranden statt. Für dieses Projekt ist eine grenzüberschreitende Zusammenarbeit unbedingt erforderlich, da dadurch ein einzigartiges multidisziplinäres Team aus (Bio-)Technologen, Chemikern, Physikern, Biologen, Ingenieuren, Ärzten und privaten Unternehmen entsteht, die sich mit innovativen Technologien und regenerativer Medizin befassen. Die im Projekt eingesetzte innovative 3D-Drucktechnologie ist das Know-how der Forschungseinrichtung Profactor (Steyr, AT). Der biologisch abbaubare Rohstoff für diese Technologie wird an der Johannes Kepler Universität (Linz, AT) entwickelt und von der Firma TIGER (Wels, AT) verarbeitet und skaliert. Die tschechische Seite, insbesondere der Hauptforscher bei CEITEC VUT (Brünn, CZ), wird die biologische Modifikation von 3D-gedruckten biologisch abbaubaren Materialien mit heilenden Proteinen (stabilisierten Wachstumsfaktoren) von Enantis s.r.o. sicherstellen. (Brünn, CZ) und Materialtests hinsichtlich ihrer Stabilität, Reaktionen auf physiologische Umgebung, Freisetzung bioaktiver Substanzen usw durchführen. Die Masaryk-Universität Brünn (Abteilung für Histologie) wird die Bewertung der Zytotoxizität und Biokompatibilität durchführen, einschließlich Tests der möglichen Blutzirkulation der vorbereiteten Materialien. Die strategischen Partner FN Brno (Klinik für Verbrennungen und Plastische Chirurgie) und KUK (Abteilung für Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie) werden die Wundversorgung überwachen. KUK ist außerdem Gastgeber der m3d+it-Veranstaltung in Linz. Das In-vitro-Vollhautmodell wird von den strategischen Partnern CompreVie (Wien, AT), TCC (Wien, AT) und Hemcon (Brünn, CZ) getestet. Schließlich werden die Cluster MTC (Linz, AT) und ASTR (Wien, AT) zur Kommunikation und Verbreitung des Projekts eingebunden. Das gesamte Team ist somit vollständig vernetzt und die einzelnen Partner haben ihre spezifischen Rollen. Ohne die finanzielle Unterstützung des vorgestellten Projekts hätte dieser einzigartige Zusammenschluss von ACCURE Regenerative Medicine nicht entstehen und zusammenarbeiten können. Langfristige Zusammenarbeit wird auch in Horizon-Europe-Projekten erwartet, welche die Partner gemeinsam versuchen einzureichen.

Summary Report on the Progress of the ACCURE Project (Monitoring Period 07–12/2024) The ACCURE project is successfully continuing to achieve its goal – the development of a functional full-thickness 3D in vitro model of human skin. All partners have made significant progress in individual activities, with collaboration between research institutions and companies bringing synergistic effects and ensuring high-quality outputs. Main Achievements: - Development of Bioactive Hydrogels (CEITEC VUT): Porous foams based on collagen, chitosan, and cellulose, modified with growth factors from Enantis, have been prepared and characterized. Their stability and absorbency are being tested. Biocompatibility testing is being conducted at MUNI. - Stabilization of Growth Factors (CEITEC VUT and Enantis): The growth factor FGF2-STAB (Enantis) has been successfully encapsulated into liposomal nanoparticles (CEITEC). The development (Enantis) and testing (MUNI) of other stabilized factors (FGF7, FGF10) are ongoing. - Optimization of 3D Printing (Profactor): The first test structures with optimized geometry and exposure parameters for skin scaffold printing have been developed. These structures are further tested by JKU and MUNI. - Biological Testing (MUNI): Testing of the cytotoxicity of supplied hydrogels (CEITEC) and 3D printed polymers (Profactor and JKU) has begun. A T-lymphocyte bank has been established for evaluating immunomodulatory effects. - Development of Biodegradable Monomers (JKU): New monomers based on amino acid phosphoramides have been synthesized and sent for biological testing (MUNI). - Characterization of Inks (TIGER): Detailed analysis of the physicochemical properties of materials for 3D printing has been conducted. Information has been used by Profactor and JKU. Added Value of Collaboration: The project benefits from close cooperation between academic and industrial partners from the Czech Republic and Austria. Sharing know-how, materials, and results enables faster progress and effective problem-solving. Joint meetings (online and in-person) have contributed to smooth coordination and planning of further steps. Communication Activities: Project websites, logo, and informational materials have been created. Two partner meetings were held (July 17 and October 3, 2024), and a press release was issued, available on the CEITEC VUT website. Conclusion: The ACCURE project is developing according to plan without major issues. The results achieved during this period represent an important foundation for the next phases of the development of the 3D skin model, which has the potential to replace animal testing and contribute to the development of safer drugs and cosmetics.

Souhrnná zpráva o průběhu projektu ACCURE (monitorovací období 07–12/2024) Projekt ACCURE úspěšně pokračuje v naplňování svého cíle – vývoje funkčního 3D in vitro modelu lidské kůže v plné tloušťce. Všichni partneři dosáhli významných pokroků v jednotlivých aktivitách, přičemž spolupráce mezi výzkumnými institucemi a firmami přináší synergické efekty a zajišťuje vysokou kvalitu výstupů. Hlavní dosažené výsledky: - Vývoj bioaktivních hydrogelů (CEITEC VUT): Byly připraveny a charakterizovány porézní pěny na bázi kolagenu, chitosanu a celulózy, modifikované růstovými faktory od firmy Enantis. Probíhá jejich testování z hlediska stability a nasákavosti. Na MUNI probíhá testování biokompatibility. - Stabilizace růstových faktorů (CEITEC VUT a Enantis): Růstový faktor FGF2-STAB (Enantis) byl úspěšně enkapsulován do liposomálních nanočástic (CEITEC). Probíhá vývoj (Enantis) a testování (MUNI) dalších stabilizovaných faktorů (FGF7, FGF10). - Optimalizace 3D tisku (Profactor): Byly vyvinuty první testovací struktury s optimalizovanou geometrií a expozičními parametry pro tisk kožních scaffoldů. Tyto struktury dále testuje JKU a MUNI. - Biologické testování (MUNI): Zahájeno testování cytotoxicity dodaných hydrogelů (CEITEC) a 3D tištěných polymerů (Profactor a JKU). Vznikla banka T-lymfocytů pro hodnocení imunomodulačních účinků. - Vývoj biodegradabilních monomerů (JKU): Syntetizovány nové monomery na bázi aminokyselinových fosforamidů, které byly odeslány k biologickému testování (MUNI). - Charakterizace inkoustů (TIGER): Provedena detailní analýza fyzikálně-chemických vlastností materiálů pro 3D tisk. Informace použity pro Profactor a JKU. Přidaná hodnota spolupráce: Projekt těží z úzké spolupráce mezi akademickými a průmyslovými partnery z Česka a Rakouska. Sdílení know-how, materiálů a výsledků umožňuje rychlejší pokrok a efektivní řešení výzev. Společná setkání (online i prezenční) přispěla k hladké koordinaci a plánování dalších kroků. Komunikační aktivity: Byly vytvořeny webové stránky projektu, logo a informační materiály. Proběhla dvě partnerská setkání (17. 7. a 3. 10. 2024) a byla vydána tisková zpráva dostupná na webu CEITEC VUT. Závěr: Projekt ACCURE se vyvíjí podle plánu bez zásadních problémů. Výsledky dosažené v tomto období představují důležitý základ pro další fáze vývoje 3D modelu kůže, který má potenciál nahradit testování na zvířatech a přispět k vývoji bezpečnějších léčiv a kosmetiky.

Zusammenfassender Bericht über den Fortschritt des ACCURE-Projekts (Überwachungszeitraum 07–12/2024) Das ACCURE-Projekt setzt erfolgreich die Erreichung seines Ziels fort – die Entwicklung eines funktionalen 3D-in-vitro-Modells der menschlichen Haut in voller Dicke. Alle Partner haben bedeutende Fortschritte in den einzelnen Aktivitäten erzielt, wobei die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Forschungseinrichtungen und Unternehmen synergetische Effekte bringt und hochwertige Ergebnisse sicherstellt. Hauptsächliche Ergebnisse: - Entwicklung von bioaktiven Hydrogelen (CEITEC VUT): Poröse Schäume auf Basis von Kollagen, Chitosan und Zellulose, modifiziert mit Wachstumsfaktoren von Enantis, wurden vorbereitet und charakterisiert. Ihre Stabilität und Saugfähigkeit werden getestet. Die Biokompatibilität wird bei MUNI getestet. - Stabilisierung von Wachstumsfaktoren (CEITEC VUT und Enantis): Der Wachstumsfaktor FGF2-STAB (Enantis) wurde erfolgreich in liposomale Nanopartikel (CEITEC) eingekapselt. Die Entwicklung (Enantis) und das Testen (MUNI) weiterer stabilisierter Faktoren (FGF7, FGF10) sind im Gange. - Optimierung des 3D-Drucks (Profactor): Die ersten Teststrukturen mit optimierter Geometrie und Belichtungsparametern für den Druck von Hautgerüsten wurden entwickelt. Diese Strukturen werden weiter von JKU und MUNI getestet. - Biologische Tests (MUNI): Die Tests zur Zytotoxizität der gelieferten Hydrogele (CEITEC) und 3D-gedruckten Polymere (Profactor und JKU) haben begonnen. Eine T-Lymphozyten-Bank wurde zur Bewertung immunmodulatorischer Effekte eingerichtet. - Entwicklung von biologisch abbaubaren Monomeren (JKU): Neue Monomere auf Basis von Aminosäure-Phosphoramiden wurden synthetisiert und zum biologischen Testen (MUNI) geschickt. - Charakterisierung von Tinten (TIGER): Eine detaillierte Analyse der physikalisch-chemischen Eigenschaften von Materialien für den 3D-Druck wurde durchgeführt. Informationen wurden von Profactor und JKU verwendet. Zusätzlicher Wert der Zusammenarbeit: Das Projekt profitiert von der engen Zusammenarbeit zwischen akademischen und industriellen Partnern aus Tschechien und Österreich. Der Austausch von Know-how, Materialien und Ergebnissen ermöglicht schnellere Fortschritte und effektive Problemlösungen. Gemeinsame Treffen (online und persönlich) haben zur reibungslosen Koordination und Planung weiterer Schritte beigetragen. Kommunikationsaktivitäten: Projektwebseiten, Logo und Informationsmaterialien wurden erstellt. Zwei Partnertreffen fanden statt (17. Juli und 3. Oktober 2024), und eine Pressemitteilung wurde herausgegeben, die auf der CEITEC VUT-Website verfügbar ist. Fazit: Das ACCURE-Projekt entwickelt sich planmäßig ohne größere Probleme. Die in diesem Zeitraum erzielten Ergebnisse stellen eine wichtige Grundlage für die nächsten Phasen der Entwicklung des 3D-Hautmodells dar, das das Testen an Tieren ersetzen und zur Entwicklung sicherer Medikamente und Kosmetika beitragen kann.

NABIAM (Interreg Projekt) (CS), NABIAM (Interreg Projekt) (DE) | Projekt NABIAM propojuje kooperační partnery z Horního Rakouska a České republiky pro inovace.
Plasty a zdravotnická technika patří mezi silné stránky Horního Rakouska i jižních Čech. V obou regionech působí odborníci ve výzkumu, podnikání a start-upech v oblastech nanotechnologií, biosenzorů a aditivní výroby. Společně by mohli přinést inovace na trh lékařské techniky. Síla vytváření sítí a spolupráce však může být rozšířena, protože aktéři vědí příliš málo o klíčových kompetencích dostupných v regionech. Stávající know-how není dostupné a zvláště inovativní začínající podniky nemají přístup k high-tech výrobním a výzkumným zařízením. Právě zde chce projekt NABIAM nastartovat a propojit potenciální kooperační partnery pro společné projekty napříč technologiemi se zaměřením na aplikace medicínských technologií.
Vědecká síť zřízená v projektu NABIAM byla výchozím bodem pro vybudování projektového konsorcia pro tento projekt. Do projektu NABIAM byli zapojeni tito partneři: PROFACTOR, CEITEC VUT. (CS), Projekt NABIAM vernetzt Kooperationspartner aus Oberösterreich und Tschechien für Innovationen.
Kunststoff- und Medizintechnik gehören sowohl zu den Stärkefeldern Oberösterreichs als auch Südböhmens. In beiden Regionen gibt es in den Bereichen Nanotechnologie, Biosensoren und Additive Fertigung Experten in Forschung, Wirtschaft und Start-ups. Gemeinsam könnten sie in der Medizintechnik Innovationen auf den Markt bringen. Die Vernetzungs- und Kooperationskraft sind allerdings ausbaufähig, da die Akteure zu wenig über die in den Regionen vorhandenen Kernkompetenzen Bescheid wissen. Das vorhandene Know-how ist nicht barrierefrei zugänglich und besonders innovativen Start-ups fehlt der Zugang zu Hightech-Produktions- und Forschungsausstattung. Genau da will das Projekt NABIAM nun ansetzen und potenzielle Kooperationspartner für technologieübergreifende Gemeinschaftsprojekte mit dem Fokus auf medizintechnische Anwendungen vernetzen.
Das im NABIAM-Projekt aufgebaute wissenschaftliche Netzwerk war Ausgangspunkt für den Aufbau des Projektkonsortiums für dieses Projekt. Am NABIAM-Projekt waren folgende Partner beteiligt: PROFACTOR, CEITEC VUT. (DE), INKplant project EC 953134 (DE), INKplant project EC 953134 (CS) | Das EU-finanzierte Projekt INKplant entwickelt einen modernen „Werkzeugkasten“ mit Technologien, mit denen maßgeschneiderte, biologisch kompatible Gerüste 3D-gedruckt werden können, die der Geweberegeneration bei verschiedenen Arten menschlichen Gewebes dienen. Die Werkzeuge werden ein ganzes Portfolio an Materialien, 3D-Druckverfahren, Simulationen und experimentellen Auswertungen umfassen. Im Kern geht es um die Entwicklung patientenspezifischer Implantate durch die Kombination unterschiedlicher Biomaterialien und modernster Technologien. Hochauflösende additive Fertigungstechnologien (lithografische Keramikherstellung und 3D-Multimaterial-Inkjetdruck) sowie neue Auswertungsverfahren sollen individuell angepasste, maßgeschneiderte Implantate für Patienten ermöglichen.
4 Projektpartner von INKplant sind Teil des ACCURE Projekts: PRO, JKU, TIG and KUK (DE), Projekt INKplant financovaný EU vyvíjí pokročilý „soubor nástrojů“ a technologií pro 3D tisk na míru přizpůsobené, biokompatibilní nosiče pro regeneraci tkání v různých typech lidských tkání. Nástroje budou zahrnovat celé portfolio materiálů, procesy 3D tisku, simulace a experimentální vyhodnocení. Ve své podstatě jde o vývoj implantátů specifických pro pacienta kombinací různých biomateriálů a nejmodernějších technologií. Technologie aditivní výroby s vysokým rozlišením (výroba litografické keramiky a 3D multimateriálový inkoustový tisk) i nové metody hodnocení by měly umožnit individuálně přizpůsobené implantáty šité na míru pacientům.
Součástí projektu ACCURE jsou 4 partneři projektu INKplant: PRO, JKU, TIG a KUK (CS), EEA/TACR KAPPA projekt Profibone TO01000309 (DE), EEA/TAČR KAPPA projekt Profibone TO01000309 (CS) | Cílem je navázat úzkou multidisciplinární spolupráci mezi českými a islandskými partnery za účelem vývoje biofunkčního polymer-keramického inkoustu pro nízkoteplotní 3D tisk kostních implantátů pro konkrétní pacienty.
Naším cílem je zlepšit mechanické, degradační, hojivé a antibakteriální vlastnosti implantátů modifikací keramického cementu pojivy na bázi biodegradabilních syntetických polymerů a bioaktivních polysacharidů a proteinů. Implantáty pro opravu defektů parietální kosti budou vytištěny přímým inkoustovým písmem a mechanicky a histologicky vyhodnoceny. Výsledkem projektu budou 2 funkční vzorky osteoindukčních cementů vhodných pro 3D tisk umělých kostí s nastavitelnými mechanickými vlastnostmi a zvýšenou biologickou aktivitou.
Hlavním řešitelem projektu Profibone je CEITEC VUT, který může z projektu Profibone čerpat cené zkušenosti o bioaktivní modifikaci dočasných implantátů pomocí proteinů a růstových faktorů. (CS), Ziel ist es, eine enge multidisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit zwischen tschechischen und isländischen Partnern aufzubauen, um eine biofunktionale Polymer-Keramik-Tinte für den 3D-Druck von Knochenimplantaten bei niedriger Temperatur für bestimmte Patienten zu entwickeln.
Unser Ziel ist es, die mechanischen, Degradations-, Heilungs- und antibakteriellen Eigenschaften von Implantaten zu verbessern, indem wir keramischen Zement mit Bindemitteln auf der Basis von biologisch abbaubaren synthetischen Polymeren und bioaktiven Polysacchariden und Proteinen modifizieren. Implantate zur Reparatur parietaler Knochendefekte werden im Tintenstrahldirektdruckverfahren hergestellt und mechanisch und histologisch untersucht. Das Projekt wird zu zwei funktionellen Mustern von osteoinduktiven Zementen führen, die sich für den 3D-Druck von künstlichen Knochen mit einstellbaren mechanischen Eigenschaften und verbesserter biologischer Aktivität eignen. EUStrategyDanubeRegion ACCURE přispěje k prioritě 9 – Lidé a dovednosti:
Aby byla oblast Podunají v budoucnu konkurenceschopná, soudržná, odolná a prosperující, musíme investovat do lidí, do jejich vzdělání a odborné přípravy, jejich dovedností, kreativity a schopnosti inovovat. Přispívá k vyšší kvalitě a efektivitě výuky, dovedností a kompetencí, včetně doktorandů, magisterských studentů a studentských výměn. Projektové konsorcium přispěje k užší spolupráci mezi vzděláváním, odbornou přípravou a trhem práce a výzkumnými institucemi na podporu územní a přeshraniční spolupráce.
Dojde také k propojení malých a středních podniků v programovém území s velkými univerzitami a výzkumnými institucemi včetně získání přístupu k nové infrastruktuře a novým nano-bio-technologiím formou Open Access. Např. CEITEC VUT má sdílené laboratoře metodou Open Access otevřené k využití i externím firmám. Dojde také k výměně zkušeností a know-how a k využití inovovaných biomateriálů připravených špičkovými biotechnologiemi v rámci regionu.
