- EU Health Programme 2021-2027 - Towards a healthier European Union (EN) | This project aligns with the EU Health Programme 2021-2027, with the anticipated outcomes overlapping four of the ten specific objectives outlined in the programme, namely:
- - Health promotion and disease prevention, in particular cancer - the project foresees the implementation of a oral health awareness campaign. In addition to the informative materials distributed within this campaign, oral health will also be promoted through information provided to citizens on the telemedicine platform created via the project;
- - International health initiatives and cooperation - the added value of the project lies in the partnership created and the joint actions to improve medical practices in the programme area;
- - Strengthening health data, digital tools and digital services and digital transformation of healthcare - the telemedicine platform created through the project will be an innovative element in the programme area, facilitating the access of the population to information and services in dentistry, as well as the cooperation between health professionals in order to improve the medical act practice.
- - Improving access to healthcare - this program objective strongly resonates with the project's core mission of guaranteeing equitable access to dental healthcare, recognized as fundamental for overall health, within the Iasi-Ungheni growth poles region. By providing free dental healthcare services to people from disadvantaged groups and by providing dental consultations through the telemedicine platform, access to healthcare for citizens in the programme area will be considerably improved.
- (EN), „Upgrade, development and implementation of prevention programmes in primary health care and local communities” (EN) | Slovenia’s „Upgrade, development and implementation of prevention programmes in primary health care and local communities” programme is taking a different approach to prevention services – by reducing health inequalities, and thereby improving overall public health, in local community settings. Implemented by the country’s National Institute of Public Health, the primary goals of the project are to improve knowledge and awareness, increase participation of healthcare users in prevention programmes and to make preventive services more accessible, more affordable and more relevant to the needs of service users.
- The programme focuses on integrating vulnerable individuals, children and young people at risk and other disadvantaged groups in the Postojna and Pivka municipalities, with the key aim of building integrated health enhancement services as stand-alone units within community health centres. Implemented at the primary health care level, these enhancement services focus on preventative medicine, health promotion and education, health enhancement activities and activities aiming to reduce health inequalities in all population groups.
- The project is in synergy with the above-mentioned programme, the main aim being a common one: to improve the population's access to health services, with a focus on vulnerable people. As in the case of the programme "Upgrade, development and implementation of prevention programmes in primary health care and local communities", this project focuses on the promotion of healthy lifestyles (Oral health awareness campaign), health improvement activities and activities aimed to reduce health inequalities (provision of dental healthcare services for disadvantaged groups, i.e. provision of online dental information and consultations, thus removing geographic barriers and facilitating access to dental services for people from marginalised communities). (EN), National health assessment and promotion and health education Programme (EN) | The overall objective of the programme is to improve the health status of the population by promoting a healthy lifestyle and addressing key risk factors. The project aligns with this programme by implementing initiatives to promote healthy living, such as conducting an oral health awareness campaign and disseminating information via the telemedicine platform's dedicated section for patients and the public, encouraging habits that foster oral health. (EN), The Health Programme 2023/2027 (EN) | The Health Programme (PoS) is a multifund programme (ESF+ and ERDF funding), which follows the efforts of the central and local budgets in supporting the implementation of the National Health Strategy 2022-2030 by financing investments in both pre-hospital and hospital care, as well as in the resilience of the health system, mainly in: cancer diagnosis and treatment, transplantation, control of transmittable diseases (including healthcare associated infections), national transfusion system, etc. The programme also supports interventions aimed to develop research and innovation solutions in healthcare and to develop and use digital technologies to facilitate access to information and education. The specific objectives of the programme are:
- 1. Investments for the construction of regional hospitals and new hospital infrastructures with major territorial impact;
- 2. Increase the quality of primary health care, community and outpatient services;
- 3. Rehabilitation, palliative and long-term care services adapted to the demographic phenomenon of an ageing population and the epidemiological profile of morbidity;
- 4. Increasing the effectiveness of the health sector through investment in infrastructure and services;
- 5. Innovative approaches in health research;
- 6. Digitalisation of the healthcare system;
- 7. Measures supporting research, informatisation in health and the use of modern methods of investigation, intervention, treatment.
- The project is in synergy with the Health Programme 2023/2027 through all the steps planned to ensure equal access to dental health, as a prerequisite for good general health state, in the Iasi-Ungheni growth poles area. The project includes initiatives that address objectives 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 outlined in the programme. (EN), Project C12.I1.4: Integrated Community Centres (EN) | Project C12.I1.4: Integrated Community Centres funded by PNRR COMPONENT: 12 - Health; INVESTMENT: I1. Development of pre-hospital health infrastructure aims to build/rehabilitate/modernise/upgrade 200 integrated community centres and equip them for operation. The community centres are part of the body of community health care programmes coordinated by the Ministry of Health, with the main aim of increasing access to quality health services for the population and in particular for vulnerable groups. The project proposed through the present call for proposals is in synergy with Project C12.I1.4: Integrated Community Centres, the ultimate goal of both projects being common: to increase access to quality health services for the population in general, and for vulnerable/ disadvantaged groups in particular. (EN), Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) (EN) | The Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) project funded by the European Commission is a partnership of 51 European institutions aiming to transform health and care systems (THCS). The partnership aims to maintain and improve people's health by supporting the transformation of health and care systems into high quality, easily accessible, sustainable, efficient, resilient and inclusive systems for all.
- The objective of the project is to encourage the optimisation of patient care pathways and contribute to the transition to more sustainable, efficient, resilient, ethical, high quality and accessible person-centred health systems.
- The project proposed in this call for proposals is in synergy with the project "Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS)" through its planned actions aimed to develop the competences of health professionals in the programme area, to provide the necessary support for improving the procedures applied in health care delivery and to work together across borders in order to improve the efficiency of the services offered to citizens in the programme area, aiming at long-term sustainability of health systems on both sides of the border. (EN), Platform for Better Oral Health in Europe (EN) | The Platform for Better Oral Health in Europe is a joint initiative of the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE), the Council of European Chief Dental Officers (CECDO), the European Association of Dental Public Health (EADPH), the Oral Health Foundation and the Pan-European Region of the International Association for Dental Research (PER-IADR). Its work is supported by Align Technology inc, Colgate-Palmolive Company, Dentsply Sirona and Haleon.
- The Platform was created to respond to the Call to Action for Better Oral Health in Europe handed over to then Health Commissioner John Dalli by several Members of the European Parliament in 2010.
- The mission of the Platform is to improve oral health and enhance cost-effective prevention of oral diseases in Europe. The goal of the Platform is to create a common European approach towards improved oral health education, promotion, and access to care in Europe.
- The project is in synergy with this initiative, through which a cross-border oral health telemedicine platform will be created in order to support citizens in the programme area in obtaining information on oral health, in benefiting of online dental consultations. Moreover, the telemedicine platform created through the project will bring together medical professionals from the programme area, contributing to cross-border cooperation in order to improve dental healthcare practices.
