The overall objective of the project Access the North with the Speed of Light - ANSEL is to create a collaborative cross-sectoral human network that bring together Nordic cultural actors, technology developers and educators, creating content and new formats as a result of digitalisation of culture, regardless of borders and geographical distance. This brings about improved and equal access to inclusive and quality service in the arts, education and lifelong learning. The project creates a solid base for future networking, co-creating and exchange of experience in the Aurora region which in turn leads to access to greater job opportunities for local professionals with less travel. Shared faculties, shared skills and training stands for sustainable resource management reinforces the democratic process by increasing equality and access. The project will support the key beneficiaries on how to implement the new working methods developed as a result of the digitalisation of culture in the Aurora region. The project partners will · pilot an educational environment for remote learning in music and language · gather information för research in low latency distance learning · enable telepresence in game development and e-sports · gather knowledge for performing arts testing, rehearsing, writing, communicating, working with live and projected actors simultaneously in different spaces located in different countries · making technologies accessible for Sámi music, craft and language teaching · improve the lives of the citizens of the collaborative regions · bring about development in the regions and creating new jobs · contribute to developing an innovative and future-oriented school that is adapted to the future Sámi society · enhance cross-sector collaboration between the arts, education, gamification, e-sports and technology companies · bring about cohesion among the regions

Expected Achievements (EN):

The overall objective of the project Access the North with the Speed of Light (ANSEL) is to enhance knowledge in the digitalisation of culture in order to facilitate work and accessibility in the region regardless of geographical distance. The ANSEL project brings about improved and equal access to high-quality services in education and lifelong learning. The project creates a solid base for future networking, co-creating and exchange of experience in the Aurora region which in turn leads to access to greater job opportunities for local professionals without having to move or travel. With the digitisation process, and the new technologies there is an opportunity to develop new cultural expressions. The build a collaborative cross-sectoral infrastructure that helps bring together Nordic cultural actors, technology developers and educators, thus creating content and new formats using low latency connections.
