- SMARTADRIA Blue Growth (Interreg IPA CBC HR-BA-ME) (EN) | SATECON will leverage methodologies for cross-border cluster development and capacity building in blue economy sectors, particularly relevant for smart mariculture components. (EN), DIH AGRIFOOD (EU Digital Innovation Hubs initiative) (EN) | Lessons from this initiative will support the establishment of regional innovation networks and the integration of digital solutions for small-scale farmers. (EN), National Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (Montenegro) and associated IPARD II programs (EN) | SATECON will align with strategic objectives on digital transformation and sustainable rural development, enhancing policy relevance and uptake potential. (EN), Applying ICT to Bosnia-Hercegovina's agricultural sector to improve integrated pest management (HERD/ICT) (EN) | SATECON will enhance agricultural productivity and minimize environmental impact by integrating innovative technologies. (EN), Specularia - Structured Ecological CULtivation with Autonomous Robots In Agriculture (Croatian Science Foundation) (EN) | Lessons learnt during Specularia will be used for implementation of mission planner and trajectory generator for drones. (EN), WatchPlant - Smart Biohybrid Phyto-Organisms for Environmental In Situ Monitoring (Horizon 2020) (EN) | SATECON will benefit from WatchPlant activities related to biohybrid system technologies that provide integration of complex networks allowing distributed information processing, decision making, modeling, and data fitting. (EN), EU IPA fundedEU4Agri Project 2020-2024 (EN) | The implementation of the SATECON project will benefit from the lessons learnt in the implementation of the EU4Agri Project, in particular relating to strengthening of advisory services, including the activities on the establishment of the web site/platform of the Advisory Services, training of cantonal staff in use of the advisory platform, the participation in the assessment of project grant submissions following the EU4Agri funded public calls for grants, organization of trainings for farmers on climate change impacts etc. (EN), MoWaCLIM - Interreg IPA HR-BA-ME (EN) | SATECON and MoWaCLIM are highly complementary projects that both aim to improve the resilience and sustainability of agriculture in the face of climate change—each through different but aligned approaches. HAPIH plays a pivotal role in both, ensuring a direct transfer of knowledge, data, and practice between them.
- While MoWaCLIM addresses climate resilience in coastal agricultural systems, particularly in the Neretva Valley, by monitoring surface and groundwater interaction and salinization risks, SATECON builds on these environmental insights to apply smart agriculture technologies such as precision irrigation, agrosolar systems, and carbon farming solutions across a broader program area. Through this strong synergy, HAPIH ensures that environmental monitoring evolves into actionable innovation, while avoiding duplication and creating a foundation for replicability in other vulnerable agricultural zones.
- (EN), AGROEKOTEH (EN) | The SATECON project strategically builds on the scientific methodologies and field experiences developed through the AGROEKOTEH project, in which HAPIH played a central role in optimizing soil management and promoting agroecosystem adaptation.
- AGROEKOTEH focused on sustainable soil use, nutrient balance, and reducing environmental pressures caused by improper fertilization. It produced valuable protocols for site-specific soil analysis, nutrient optimization, and environmentally responsible fertilization strategies—all of which are directly carried forward and expanded in SATECON. (EN), APPLERESIST (EN) | The Appleresist project focused on enhancing the drought and heat resistance of apple cultivars through genetic analysis and adaptive cultivation practices. HAPIH, as a project partner, contributed by applying smart irrigation, soil management, and plant stress monitoring techniques in pilot orchards—laying the groundwork for precision horticulture. (EN), Vitalising ICT relevance in agricultural learning Project Acronym: VIRAL (EN) | Overall project aim of VIRAL to support university and business collaboration (UBC) through accelerating the use of ICT across Western Balkans agro-communities (EN)
