Project status:
ongoingRelevant linked projects:
- EU Strategies and Directives (EN) | This application is not linked to any other proposal under preparation within other EU funds, national or regional programmes.
- However, we place great emphasis on ensuring that our project avoids
- overlapping with any ongoing initiatives or projects. We are committed to creating synergies
- with EU and other projects/initiatives by actively engaging stakeholders, fostering
- collaboration, facilitating cross-project learning, and exploring additional EU funding
- programs.
- To achieve this, we will proactively coordinate with relevant initiatives, sharing our
- knowledge and experiences, and making conscious efforts to avoid duplicating existing
- efforts. Through this collaborative approach, we aim to maximize the impact of our project
- and contribute to a cohesive and sustainable strategy in addressing shared challenges.
- Synergies with EU Strategies:
- 1. EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR):
- Shared objectives: Both the project and EUSDR aim to reduce environmental risks, improve water quality, and enhance institutional capacity. By addressing flood prevention, water management, and disaster resilience, the project complements EUSDR’s goals.
- 2. EU Floods Directive (2007/60/EC):
- Implementation of standards: The project adheres to the directive’s guidelines on flood risk assessment and management, creating a model that will be replicated in other regions.
- 3. European Green Deal:
- Sustainability practices: The project’s focus on eco-system based approaches to disaster risk management aligns with the European Green Deal’s emphasis on sustainability and environmental protection.
- 4. Directive 2008/50/EC on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe:
- Implementation of standards: The project adheres to the directive’s guidelines on fire risk assessment and management, creating a model that can be replicated in other regions to improve air quality and environmental health. (EN), Projects implemented by Partners or ongoing (EN) | This project creates synergies with other initiatives implemented by partners or currently ongoing, contributing to climate change adaptation, disaster risk prevention, and resilience. These synergies are particularly evident in Edirne and Dalgopol:
- Oh the side of Edirne:
- Project: Increasing the Operational Capacity for Forest Fires and Improving Prevention of Disasters (CB005.1.11.005) - Interreg IPA CBC BG-TR (2017-2019)
- Synergy: The previous project has built capacity for forest fire management and disaster prevention. The current project will leverage these enhanced capacities, further improving disaster response and resilience.
- Oh the side of UBBSLA:
- Project: eWAsTER: Preventing e-waste from polluting MED water by turning waste into a resource (Interreg Euro-MED, 2024-2027)
- Synergy: This project focuses on turning e-waste into resources, promoting sustainable practices. It aligns with the current project’s focus on eco-system-based approaches and environmental protection.
- Project: ProLIGHTmed: Progressive Solutions in Greener Optimization of Public Lighting in the EURO-MED Area (2024-2027)
- Synergy: This project emphasizes greener optimization of public lighting, contributing to sustainability and resilience. The experience gained in environmental sustainability and resource management will support the current project's goals.
- All these projects are promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention, resilience, taking into account eco-system based approaches for the communities invloved, as well as disasters prevention and fighting. As consequent they are provide experience synergies with applyed project in at least 2 of 4 project’s regions (Edirne, Dalgopol).
- These 3 projects have empowered partners with operational capacities for natural disaster prevention and response, as well as with experience in communication and cross-border interoperability in this field. (EN)
