Contribution to wider strategies and policies:

  • Other Am 14.
  • Other Increasing fitness by moving is a central theme in Belgian Limburg. The FIT project will support this initiative, also for those unable to move.
  • FIT will increase muscle mass and power, but this is only a first step. Rehabilitation and physical exercise therapy, which are
  • strategic themes at UH and in Belgian-Limburg, are essential to convert muscle mass into functional quality of life. Increasing physical activity is an ambition of all EMR governments, which FIT wil help realising.
  • In addition, FIT's activities tie in with the ambitions of Health Campus Limburg (BE), which focuses on developing patient-oriented life sciences, personalized medication (and treatment), and rehabilitation technology. Within these themes, efforts are also made to stimulate clinical research and validation.
