PROJECT TYPE: 1 - Thematic projects ~ MAIN INTERVENTION FIELD: 145. Support for the development of digital skills ~ SUMMARY: DigitalLife4ALL’s aim is to build a synergetic network of Digital Skill Hubs across all participating regions. The Hubs’ task: to continuously foster learning in modern digital skills & competencies in all citizens, especially targeting vulnerable social groups. Our Hubs will be designed to address common challenges observed both empirically & through research in partner regions: drastic lack of digital skills in seniors, older adults, people with disabilities & vulnerable groups, discomfort using digital tools offered in modern society, lack of safety against a plethora of digital threats. The Digital Era is advancing, but it’s leaving parts of our society behind, especially the already disadvantaged. This is the exact problem we set out to tackle: to build resilient infrastructure to teach digital skills & competencies to local communities, especially to vulnerable persons with respect to their sensitivities, to allow citizens of all social strata to use modern digital tools & services efficiently & safely. To augment their quality of life & enhance employability and to continuously support our common journey towards a Smart Mediterranean, leaving no-one behind. All this will take place by creating self-sufficient Digital Hubs and a unified Digital Education Curriculum, to be taught in Hubs continuously, both physically & digitally to maximize our reach.Our aim is to construct a network, a Community of Practice set towards strengthening Digital Skills in our societies, that will continuously, effectively disseminate modern Digital Competencies to citizens, stakeholders & policymakers. Through informal training & teaching cycles, community engagement & events, DigitalLife4ALL seeks to create a constant place of digital literacy in every country: a place that will always support smart expertise for beneficiaries & support horizontal digital learning in all social groups, be it adults, seniors, the disabled or socially-vulnerable, as we navigate the new Digital Era. ~ KEEP KEYWORDS: Education and training, ICT and digital society, Social inclusion and equal opportunities
