- EU Green Deal (EN) | - Environmental Goals: Our project supports the EU Green Deal by reducing carbon emissions through optimizing logistics processes and integrating renewable energy solutions into logistics operations.
- - Innovation and Sustainability: It aims to contribute to Europe’s goal of becoming climate neutral by 2050 through the adoption and scaling of innovative technologies. Our activities:
- - Green Logistics Workshops: Workshops focusing on green logistics solutions in line with the sustainability goals of the EU Green Deal will be organized, a Hackathon for Creating Sustainable and Efficient Solutions in Cross-Border Logistics will be organized, and technical visits will be organized to logistics centers that successfully implement the green and blue economy. Thus, our project will provide direct synergy with the EU Green Deal. (EN), Interreg Europe: “LAST MILE”PROJECT (EN) | The LAST MILE project focuses on the integration of sustainable modes of transport and the improvement of “last mile” delivery processes. The learnings from this project provide important insights into making modes of transport more sustainable and efficient. LAST MILE’s innovative solutions and best practices in last mile delivery processes will inspire our project’s efforts to establish more efficient and sustainable logistics networks between Samsun, Varna and Batumi. (EN), HORIZON 2020: “SELIS - Shared European Logistics Intelligent Information Space” (EN) | The SELIS project focuses on the development of shared information platforms to increase logistics efficiency across Europe. This project highlights the benefits of data sharing and information integration in the logistics sector. The information obtained from SELIS will guide the development and use of the logistics information platforms that will be established in our project. These platforms will increase information sharing and collaboration among logistics stakeholders in Samsun, Varna and Batumi (EN), “Green and Blue Economy in the EU: Trends and Innovations in the Logistics Sector” Report: (EN) | This report on the green and blue economy in the EU examines best practices and emerging trends in sustainability and innovation in the logistics sector. In line with the green and blue economy goals of our project, the information obtained from this report will guide us in developing sustainable logistics solutions and adopting innovative practices. (EN), BSB 456: “Sustainable Ports and Logistics in the Black Sea” (EN) | BSB 456 focuses on sustainable port operations and green logistics practices. The best practices and technologies gained from this project have provided important information on increasing environmental sustainability. By utilizing BSB 456’s green logistics solutions, sustainable logistics operations will be integrated between the ports of Samsun, Varna and Batumi. Our project aims to expand these solutions and adapt them to other transportation methods (road and rail). (EN), Stakeholder Interviews and Local Knowledge: Interviews with Local Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EN) | Interviews with local chambers of commerce and industry in Samsun, Varna and Batumi provided valuable information about the current status, challenges and opportunities of the logistics sector in these regions. The information obtained from these interviews will help us identify specific logistics issues to be addressed in the project and identify regional cooperation opportunities. It will also help us develop a better understanding of local needs and priorities, enabling our project to achieve its goals more effectively. (EN)
