This project aims to create appropriate tools which will point out the real state of the local economies and will also enable both employeed and unemployed people to get a second chance, acquiring skills adapted to modern economic times. In this sense 192 trainees in total from Greece and Bulgaria will undergo training on subjects with potential employment opportunities. The expected results of this project are mainly to improve the partners’ ability to develop policies in the region, creating conditions that will lead to employment growth in the cross border region. The activities include the organization of five training courses on management of urban and suburban areas for 90 people, as well as three training courses on environmental management for 42 people coming from the participating Greek municipalities. Moreover, 30 people will be trained in management of urban and suburban areas from the participating Bulgarian municipalities, and 30 more in environmental management.

Expected Results (EN):

The expected results from this project are mainly to improve the partners’ ability to develop policies in the region with index the improved strategies, unit and target rate of 100%. Another main result is the enhancement of cross-border business partnerships that support the economic relations networks and bring real results in the financial structure of the region. This will be achieved through a portal and a tool that links job supply with job demand, indicator for this will be users benefiting, with number as unit and objective 2000. The project will also have as a result the support of further development of economic dynamics through the strengthening of existing structures; this will be achieved through networking, through the employment study of the area, the GIS and the Portal. Index for this is the improvement of financial standards of the beneficiaries, with measurement the rate and target the 100%.
