Description (EN):

The project aims to expand opportunities and improve the quality of work in these population groups, especially in those sectors that have been identified by the Regional Strategic Plans as development potential and that are bounded by tradition and crafts of the region, through the promotion of social enterprises. The final goal is to implement a regional cross border system capable of promoting, supporting, enhancing different types of social enterprises that foster the employment and economic integration of vulnerable groups in the region. The main objective of the project is to encourage the sustainable employment integration of vulnerable people groups in the cross-Border area. The urban social life was modified by key factors such as re-entry of emigrants, internal migration, declining birth rates, changing and evolving family structure. The project aims to contribute to the above mentioned goals acting in the specific sector of the social economy and the cooperative enterprises working on the strengthening multi-stakeholders networks in order to develop a common development cross border-strategy and the setting up of cooperatives cross border-clusters. The project is based on the building up of a strong cooperation network among policy makers, social operators and stakeholders.

Expected Results (EN):

Setting up businesses with social responsibility for the inclusion of the beneficiaries of the project, identifying at least 15 exisiting businesses and provide hands on support and job-trainings for them. Priority will be given to enterprises with focus in the tourism industry, cultural and agro-food and identified as those with high potential for development by the regional plans of cross border area; Setting up of at least 7 new social business initiatives, in compliane with the with the target groups needs, especially in the cultural sectors, tourism and agro-food; Identification of a cross border cluster of social and cooperative organization able to face social needs in the area; Implementation of an integrated system of training in the field of social services in cross border area involving public institutions, universities in all territories; Increasing personnel skills in planning, management and operation of the system of municipal social services. Development of criteria for specific models of management and organizational constraints of the services; Increased access of citizens to social services through effective use of local public services in the area and new services provided by private organisations; Setting up of an operative structure among partners to coordinate actions, resources and services for the social sectors in all territories; Disadvantaged people temporarely involved within local private organizations in working activities.
