Description (EN):

The growing youth migration both in Lithunia and Belarus is influenced by youth unemployment which mainly results from lower employment opportunities through lack of knowledge and experience. Lack of motivation and knowledge how to start own business, financial problems, negative image of entrepreneurship, as well as lack of knowledge of business possibilities are the major causes of low level of youth entrepreneurship in both countries. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the encouragement of entrepreneurship, youth cooperation, reduction of unemployment and young people migration for promotion sustainable economic development in Kaunas and Minsk regions.

Achievements (EN):

The project partners have established the youth Entrepreneurship Encouragement Frameworks in Kaunas and Minsk. Equipment and furniture were provided for these frameworks. The frameworks will be used for conducting youth entrepreneurship encouragement trainings and other activities aimed at encouragement of entrepreneurship among youth. The Entrepreneurship Encouragement Programme for young people was created by Lithuanian and Belarusian trainers. The programme was used during youth entrepreneurship trainings. 10 trainers (5 from Lithuania and 5 from Belarus) were trained to conduct coaching. They conducted trainings for 100 young people in Kaunas (Lithuania) and Minsk. 5 days-long youth entrepreneurship camp was organised in Druskininkai (Lithuania) for Lithuanian and Belarusian youth, where they could test their practical entrepreneurship skills.

Expected Results (EN):

The project will strengthen capacities of youth Entrepreneurship Encouragement Frameworks in Kaunas and Minsk regions through elaboration of an entrepreneurship encouragement program for young people supported by Guides for trainers and youth and enhance the skills of youth entrepreneurship trainers. The project also aims to improve young people‘s abilities and knowledge of entrepreneurship in Minsk and Kaunas through organising a youth entrepreneurship camp and trainings under the elaborated program.
