Description (EN):

Both partners have common history about well known in the world poet Adam Mickiewicz. New generation of both partners are not interested in so called "old fashioned" activities - sitting near the fire place, reading poet's poems, acting in the performance, drawing pictures. Nowadays life is running so fast, so people don't have time to enjoy their history and old fashioned art, forget about the famous people who lived, loved, worked in the countries, lacking simple communication by sharing the experience in what they could promote their countries. Striving to strengthen cultural networking by implementing joint cross-border activities, sharing experience and organizing common events between cross border communities, as the solution of the cross border problem is presented through created joint cross border performance, art plain airs and evening readings of poetry. Overall objective of the project - to strengthen cultural networking by implementing joint cross-border activities. Project seeks to encourage cooperation by connecting people, organizations of districts, creating opportunity to develop new cultural product by exchanging experiences between two partners. Specific objective: to organize two art pilot weeks "crossroads of love and art" - one in Daugai, Alytus district and one in Voronovo, Belarus, what will contribute to solving current cross-border problems.

Achievements (EN):

Main results: increased networking of cross border professionals and amateurs artists, raised cooperation by cross-border people, created opportunity to develop new cultural product (performance, art plener works, cooperation among poets). Main outputs: organized 2 pilot art weeks "crossroads of love and art" with total 50 participants. During the pilot art weeks there will be: prepared 1 joint performance, 2 art plain airs (1 in Lithuania, 1 in Belarus), 2 poetry readings (1 in Lithuania, 1 in Belarus).

Expected Results (EN):

The project intends to strengthen cultural networking by implementing joint cross-border activities. The specific objective of the partners is to organize two art pilot weeks "crossroads of love and art", that would contribute to cherishing common cultural heritage of Lithuania and Belarus and to activating of contemporary cultural life in Alytus district and Voronovo.
