Description (EN): Development of the joint tourist potential of General Toshevo Municipality and the Local Council of Negru Voda. Conservation of the natural resources and biodiversity. Setting up of pre-conditions for joint social and economic development of the two municipalities

Achievements (EN):

The project “Cross-border Region General Toshevo – Negru Voda – Unknown Tourist Destination”, MIS-ETC Code 628, with a total eligible value of 1,496,741 Euro, promoted the tourism potential in the cross border area General Toshevo, Bulgaria and Negru Voda, Romania. In this respect, the access of the tourist to the chosen sites and the established tourist itineraries was facilitated Within the project, 2 sections of road in General Toshevo (2.3 km) and Negru Vodă (1.12 km) were rehabilitated, 6 tourist itineraries were established including 3 velo itineraries and 1 hypo itinerary (from horse base General Toshevo – to Pchelarovska Forest), 3 tourist information centres were established out of which 2 in General Toshevo and 1 in Negru Voda. Also, a strategy for tourism development in the cross border area General Toshevo - Negru Voda was drafted.
