Description (EN):

The overall objective of the project is to showcase cultural heritage sites in order to make border area of Poland, Lithuania and the Kaliningrad region of Russian Federation more attractive tourist destination through improving the accessibility of cultural heritage sites by their renovation and adaptation for tourist needs and promotion of joint tourism product – cross-border meeting points for young people under the title of “Active young people alive monuments”.

Achievements (EN):

1. Renovated and equipped Tourist Service Centre in Dowspuda 2. Renovated and equipped Yuoth Pilgrimage Centre in Kalvaria 3. Renovated and equipped International Centre for the Development of Children and Youth’s Creativity in Ozersk 4. 2 Youth camps in Dowspuda organised 5. Youth camp in Kalvaria organised 6. Youth camp in Oziersk organised 7. Publication "Active young people alive monuments" produced 8. Brochure promoting the tourism product produced 9. Calendar for 2015 promoting the renovated cultural heritage sites produced 10. Technical documentation for the renovation of the historic Horse Post Station in Kalvaria, historical part of Kalvaria city and Evangelican-Lutheran Church prepared 11. Visibility campaign conducted

Expected Results (EN):

1. Renovation and equipment of one historic building of Tourist Service Center in Dowspuda (Poland) (518.12 m2). 2. Renovation and equipment of one historic building of the Youth Pilgrimage Center in Kalvaria (Lithuania) (757.31 2). 3. Renovation and equipment of one historic building of International Center for Children and Youth’s Creativity Development in Ozersk (Russia) (849.5 m2). 4. Organization of 2 7-day sessions of the Youth camp in Dowspuda (Poland) for 42 participants each. 5. Organization of 7-day Youth camp in Kalvaria (Lithuania) for 42 participants. 6. Organization of 7-day Youth camp in Ozersk (Russia) for 42 participants. 7. Publication of a four-language brochure “Active young people alive monuments” (total of 200 copies). 8. Publication of a four-language brochure promoting tourist product (total of 2000 copies) in order to increase the awareness by 20% after the finalization of the project. 9. Production of a calendar for 2015 promoting the renovated cultural heritage sites (total of 600 copies). 10. Preparation of technical documentation for the renovation of the historic Horse Post Station in Kalvaria, historical part of the city itself and Evangelical-Lutheran Church (Lithuania). 11. Implementation of visibility actions – production of information boards, plaques, press releases, roll-ups, banners and other promotional materials.
