Description (EN):

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to improvement of traffic conditions of the IA Pan-European Transport Corridor by improving the conditions for transit and long distance traffic and reducing the problems caused by the traffic with which inhabitants of Panemune settlement (Lithuania) and Sovetsk town (Russia) are encountering.

Achievements (EN):

1. Road section 4 kilometres long is constructed. 2. The “fly-over” (crossover) the old water course of the river Neman 0.463 km in length on the road leading towards the bridge is constructed. 3. The bridgehead (length – 0.085 km) providing connection with the new bridge which should be built over Neman river by the Russian Federation is constructed.

Expected Results (EN):

• constructed road section (the total length - 4 km) • constructed fly-over the old water course of the river Neman on the road leading towards the bridge (length – 0,463 km) • constructed bridgehead (length 0,085 km) insuring connection with new bridge to be constructed by the Russian Federation over Neman river
