Description (EN):

The overall objective of the project is to support social-economic development of the cross-border region on both sides of the border and improve the accessibility and traffic safety of the Polish-Russian border crossing Gołdap – Gusev through improving the quality of transport connections between national and international transport layout by increasing the quality of the subject section of the national road No. 65 and carrying capacity of the surface to 115 kN/axis.

Achievements (EN):

1. Two-lane asphalt road of 15.6 km in length rebuilt and facilitated with technical infrastructure. 2. Time savings rate for passengers in 2015 reached 1 199 534 EUR (23,02%). 3. Time savings rate for freight – goods in 2015 reached 319 443 EUR (29,94%). 4. The number of accidents decreased: pieces / 1 million * vehicles*km - 0,2049 (reduction of 9,7% in 2015). 5. The number of fatalities decreased pieces / 1 million * vehicles*km - 0,0793 (reduction of 15,4% in 2015).

Expected Results (EN):
