The project links the academic approach and practical expertise, offering learning opportunities adapted to emergent needs and a changing environment at the HU-RO cross border region. The general goal is to strengthen the social, cultural and economic environment through an interconnected teaching system providing equal lifelong learning opportunities. The project aims to develop a joint, distant learning program in 3 languages, to create a 3 language knowledge portal, used for distance learning, and for materials posted free of charge to registered users and to develop the technical and informational conditions for interpreter trainings. The activities include the creation of a distant learning education system, meaning developing training curriculum’s and providing training in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and General languages developing interpreter training sessions and creating the necessary technical conditions The project reaches those who otherwise would be excluded from learning opportunities: disadvantaged, disabled, unemployed, the elderly etc. The cross-border regions competitiveness on the labor market is significantly influenced by their language competences.
