Description (EN):

The main objective of the project is to develop traffic potential and increase the quality of accessibility in the cross-border region along the Croatian-Hungarian state border. The specific objective is to prepare project documentation for the purpose of obtaining permits from the Hungarian authorities for the Murakeresztur- Kotoriba road border crossing. It will certainly contribute to the improvement of the economic and cultural unity of 15 villages with 80,000 inhabitants on both sides of the borders, while road distances will be shortened by 40 to 50 kilometers.

Achievements (EN):

The project documentation includes design for a 175 m long bridge with vehicle and bicycle lanes, a 58 m long access viaduct, a 2.5 km long road section and a railway crossing. In addition to this, the project includes plans for moving the existing road crossing over the main railway Budapest-Murakeresztór and the design of access roads to bridges and bicycle paths.
