Description (EN):

The aim of the project "Development of the cross-border tourism in Ełk and Alytus" is increase of the tourism attractiveness in Ełk and Alytus through development of public squares in the city, renovation of the basement in the culture house in Alytus, preparation of the Ełk and Alytus International Tourism Development Strategy, issue a cross-border book with places of interest and maps promoting the cities. In the result of the investment people with disabilities will have an access and to developed areas in Ełk and Alytus. There will be 8 meeting during the project. Management teams will meet 4 times, 1 study visit in Alytus (20 participants), 1 meeting in Ełk and 1 - in Alytus aimed at preparing Ełk and Alytus International Tourism Development Strategy (14 participants), conference held in Ełk summarizing the project (60 participants).

Expected Results (EN): The results of the project will serve for both cross-border communities and will increase tourism attractiveness in both regions and their competitiveness. The results will also improve access to the tourist information for residents and tourists.
