Description (EN):

Being the nearest cross-border neighbours, Płaska commune office and Lazdijai district Municipality aim to cooperate. One of the cross-border cooperation fields is cooperation in the field of development of the joint tourism, in particular ecological, and development of activities to promote environmental, recreational and cultural tourism in the border region. Possibility to solve jointly issues of promotion of region’s integrated image, to improve and establish small-scale tourism related cross-border infrastructure, to promote ecological tourism and rational use of natural resources is highly important for both partners. It will help to adopt a common point of view on the development of sustainable cross-border tourism and will improve the cooperation in the fields of eco - tourism development and the protection of national resources, which is currently not sufficient. General objective of the project is to improve environmental, recreational and cultural tourism activities in Lithuania - Poland border region.

Expected Results (EN): Development of the waste water treatment facilities in the small scale objects will positively influence environmental quality of the region as well as create new tourism objects, i.e. Lazdijai city part.
