Description (EN):

MAP-MEP campaigns for a broader societal awareness and dialogue on energy potentials in the North Sea Region. The awareness marketing is designed to increase future energy partnership capacities and to found decision making. Results from energy-sector related INTERREG IVB NSR projects are compiled for the regional audience and beyond. MAP-MEP aims at feeding the mainstream energy debate with topical information, providing policy support and enhancing societal participation through pointed use of social media channels such as a thematic webGIS plus weblog and mobile apps.

Expected Results (EN):

• Standardised storage of marine energy-related metadata and geo data for the North Sea Region in one data bank system • Open-access transnational research tool for geo-based meta-data on energy potentials in the North Sea Region • Multiple visualisation options of meta data as set against explicit spatial contexts
