Description (EN):

The process of rehabilitation of the PD is long and includes several types of treatments. The provision of all the treatments in the cross-border region is a heavy burden. Creating a network of information facilities in the cross-border region is the most effective way of providing many different types of treatments. The basic problem with most of these people is the lack of basic education, which leads to limited opportunities for their learning and adapting to the demands of the labor market. The completion of the long term will contribute to solving this problem. No action can achieve the expected result without insuring acceptance of these people from the public. The public campaign is the most effective way to support marginalized and sensitive citizen groups to reduce discrimination and elimination of prejudices. These activities will contribute to provision of opportunities and resources that are necessary for inclusion of these people in the social, economic and cultural life.

Achievements (EN):

• Constructed adequate infrastructure (access ramps, lifts and appropriate toilets) for movement of the Persons with Disabilities to and in 5 elementary schools in East planning region and Municipality of Gotse Delchev. • Provided equipment for physical and mental rehabilitation of children with disabilities in Elementary School Vancho Prke in Stip • Established Network for Cooperation between schools in Cross Border Region in the area of work with Children with Disabilities; • Conducted two training for teachers from targeted elementary schools with subject work with the Children with Disabilities; • Developed, published and distributed Study on the possibilities for rehabilitation of people with disabilities in the territory of the Eastern Planning Region and Municipality of Gotse Delchev • Conducted Public campaign for elimination of stereotypes of people with disabilities and support of school inclusion of children with disabilities throw carried out series of round tables and TV debate shows, broadcasting of radio and TV spots and billboards The project has been successfully accomplished in May 2013.
