Energy Efficiency is one of the central objectives for 2020 which aims to save the energy 20% by 2020. One of the key technologies of the Renewable Energy Source (RES) seen in the market is heat pumps. It is a key technology to achieve the European Union’s energy saving and climate protection targets. The HePuPro project aims to promote use of heat pumps in the Barents region and to increase economic development on energy cooperation in the Barents Region.

Achievements (EN): Project results: - Comparative study of the heat pump market potential in the Barents regions - Transfer of gained knowledge and information to authorities and public and private sector - The heat pump economic situation in the region is strengthened through dissemination of gained results.

Expected Results (EN):

1. Categorize the existing heat pump business in the Barents region according to type of approach, activities and market segments into a systematised contact book of organisations, including support and beneficiary organisations. 2. A structured research plan for further investigations. 3. Best practice solutions, energy gain measures and market potential. Feedback and evaluation. 4. Report on the outcomes for activity 1-4, revealing the existing status and future market potential for heat pump systems. Publication of the work. 5. Demonstration corner providing valuable information to end users as an option for using renewable energy 6. 7 day trip within Barents region and partner countries to gain real time practice; 5 day exchange trip to Germany to gain EU practice of testing and certification of the heat pumps 7. Joint stand in exhibition with Finnish, Norwegian and Russian side participating 8. 1 face to face seminar; 1 online seminar 9. Foresight plan 10. Heat pump economic festival. 11. Working web-source within project and next years on demand 12. 4-6 newsletters per year 13. 3x100 brochures made in each country; Book; Media publications; Photo report 14. Internal monitoring report to follow the quality of the project implementation 15. Project reports, external evaluation report, financial reports 16. Minutes from the meetings including critical analysis of the project outcomes 17. Project reports according to requirements, document storage. 18. Financial reports of the project 19.
