Description (EN): The main aim of this project is an improvement of quality and accessibility of medical services concerning the treatment of acute psychiatric disorders offered by healthcare facilities in Poland and in Belarus and this aim will be achieved as a result of an exchange of knowledge and experiences

Achievements (EN):

1. The growth of knowledge and exchange of experience between the medical personnel in Podlasie Voivodeship and Belarus in the field of treating patients with acute mental disorders as a result of organized conference, seminar for medical personnel, study visits for medical and managing personnel as well as apprenticeships for medical personnel 2. Improved access to the information for both patients and their families on the prophylactics of psychiatric disorders thanks to performed social campaign (cooperative publication of educational and preventative publications about mental illnesses, social commercial against the stigmatization of people with mental disorders) 3. Renovated, ready for use wards of the hospital in Brest 4. Newly created ward for treating acute mental disorders in Choroszcz 5. Equipped psychiatric wards in Choroszcz and Brest 6. Informing the broadest group of people about the actions of the project thanks to performed promotional activities . Total number of cross-border partnership meetings having as their aim the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of treating acute psychiatric disorders - 1 Total number of seminars, conferences conducted – 2. Number of study visits – 3. Number of apprenticeships – 6 Number of copies of educational and preventative publication within a social campaign – 10,000. Number of broadcasts of the social commercial in Polish and Belarusian television as part of a social campaign – 100. Number of ready to use renovated psychiatric wards in Brest – 2 529,80 squared metres Number of newly formed wards for treating acute psychiatric disorders in Choroszcz – 1996 squared metres Number of wards equipped with modern medical equipment – 11. Number of sets of medical equipment and furnishings purchased - 350 Number of internet pages created – 1. Number of informational and promotional materials (broadcasts, articles, sponsored programs) – 120 Number of promotional materials (posters, signs, mugs, squeeze toys, banners) – 1456. Number of training materials prepared – 155.

Number of ready to use renovated psychiatric wards in Brest. – 3 wards; 801,8 sq.m. Number of newly created wards for treatment of acute psychiatric disorders in Choroszcz – 1 ward; 1996 sq.m.Number of wards equipped in modern medical appliances (in Belarus: , Department 1, Department 2, Department 3, Department of Physiotherapy, Laboratory, Psychotherapeutic centre, Room for rehabilitation activities, clinic, health center, ,,Ploska’’ Clinic, In Poland: ) Department of acute psychiatric disorders treatment – 11 Item. Number of bought medical appliances and equipment – 303 Item
