Description (EN):

The problem that is facing the Polish-Belarusian borderland is linked to the lack of specialist medical equipment for breast cancer and colorectal cancer treatment. As such, the Lead Partner established the overall objective of the project as that of establishing a lasting form of co-operation between health maintenance organisations of the Polish-Belarusian borderland in order to increase the detection rate of breast cancer and colorectal cancer and to enhance treatment quality of these diseases. The project will thus concentrate on the real needs of the target groups and final beneficiaries of the borderland through the purchase and installation of modern energy-saving medical equipment, creation of patient database, biobank and telepathology and carrying out two research programmes on breast and colorectal cancer.
