Description (EN):

Krosno and Uzhgorod are important trade, industrial, educational and cultural administrative centres, which to a large extent impact the development of the Podkarpackie and Zakarpattya regions. Tourism is one of the most important branches of economy of these partner cities and border areas. The project, therefore, aims at the development and promotion of active tourism infrastructure, development of cooperation between Krosno and Uzhgorod based on the promotion of new sports and leisure facilities in the borderland areas and boosting economic development on both sides of the border through support and promotion of active tourism.

The number of created sports and recreation facilities of transfrontier infrastructure 3 The number of organized meetings and events promoting the infrastructure and the region supported within the framework of the project 2 The number of prepared and created websites 1 The number of prepared and distributed guidebooks 800 Indicators of expected results connected with the surface of constructed buildings and number of kilometres of the cycle route are: Surface of a new building in Wola Michowa: Building area, including: 209,85 m2 Building 155,00 m2 (the usable area) 127,30 m2 Staircase and ramp 54,85 m2 Surface of the new building in Baranynci (sports stadium, the administrative complex and technical buildings, stage, grandstand/tribune for spectators): Building area, including: 759,90 m2 The area of the central building 238,60 m2 Grandstand/tribune area 212,70 m2 Stage surface 207,60 m2 Outbuilding area 101,00 m2 Green spaces area, including: 12 577,30 m2 Football pitch area 7 169,00 m2 Approach roads area 3 848,00 m2 Pavement area 560,70 m2 Car park area 999,60 m2 Surface area for Bicycle Tourism Centre in Uzhgorod: Area of tourist information office 74,02 m2 Area of storage for bikes and equipment 17,60 m2 The length of the bicycle path Uzhgorod-Baranynci 8,80 km

Expected Results (EN):

The outcome of the project will be the network of three sports and leisure centres in Wola Michowa (Poland), Uzhgorod and Baranynci (Ukraine), cross-border youth meetings, i.e. Youth Cycle Tourism Days and Youth Tourism Festival. Besides that a number of promotional activities will be carried out such as the publication of information-promotional guidebooksand a website.
