Description (PL): Wykorzystanie wielkiego potencjału Parku dla rozwoju regionów przygranicznych wymaga działań wieloaspektowych, obejmujących zarówno inwestycje jak i programy badawcze, popularyzację wyników badań i udostępnianie coraz większych obszarów Parku. Działania inwestycyjne skupią się na najbardziej zaniedbanych obszarach obu części Parku. W Parku Zdrojowym kluczowym obiektem jest Dom Zdrojowy, po polskiej stronie - Wiadukt i teren Szkółek. W Domu Zdrojowym planuje się odbudowę płd-wsch. skrzydła jako Centrum dla Odwiedzających i odrestaurowanie zachowanej substancji budowlanej ze środkowego ryzalitu oraz pn.-zach. skrzydła na centrum informacji o historii górnictwa i lecznictwa sanatoryjnego. W polskiej części Parku wykonany zostanie remont konserwatorski Wiaduktu, symbolu Parku, jednego z trzech zachowanych obiektów historycznych z XIX wieku. Dla terenu Szkółki zostanie przygotowana inwentaryzacja, mapa i ekspertyza dendrologiczna zieleni w Parku na powierzchni ok.22 ha. Zgodnie z jej zaleceniami będzie wykonana pielęgnacja drzew. Projekt badawczy realizowany przez obu partnerów prowadzi do pokazania Parku jako ważnej części dziedzictwa europejskiego.Obejmie badanie archiwów i literatury w Niemczech, Polsce i Holandii, stworzy podstawę dla nowego szlaku turystyki kulturowej i połączenia Parku z istniejącymi szlakami europejskimi. Badania archeologiczne na terenie Szkółki zabezpieczą istniejące pozostałości, pokażą obraz tego terenu i umożliwią bezpieczne udostępnienie go turystom. Międzynarodowe warsztaty, konferencja naukowa i wystawy zaprezentują wyniki badań specjalistom związanym z ochroną i popularyzacją dziedzictwa kulturowego. Duże imprezy plenerowe przyciągną turystów. Działania w projekcie są spójne, komplementarne i prowadzą do wzrostu dostępności i atrakcyjności dziedzictwa kulturowego, poszerzają zakres jego oddziaływania na europejski i są strategicznie ważne dla rozwoju turystyki na pograniczu polsko-niemieckim.
Read more Description (DE): Nutzung des Potentials des Parks für die Entwicklung der Grenzgebiete verlangt vielseitiges Handeln, welches sowohl Investitionen, als auch Untersuchungsprogramme, Popularisierung der Ergebnisse der Untersuchungen und die Zurverfügungstellung von immer größeren Gebieten des Parks umfasst. In dem Badehauspark ist die Hauptanlage das Badehaus, auf der polnischen Seite - die Talbrücke und die Baumschule. Es wird geplant, in dem Badehaus den südwestlichen Flügel als Besucherzentrum und die Sanierung der bestehenden Bausubstanz sowie den nord-westlichen Flügel für das Informationszentrum zu Geschichte des Bergbaus und der Behandlung im Sanatorium wiederaufzubauen. In dem polnischen Teil wird eine Wartung der Talbrücke, des Parksymbols, der historischen Anlage aus dem XIX Jahrhundert gemacht. Für die Baumschule wird eine Bestandsaufnahme, Landkarte, dendrologische Begutachtung der Grünanlagen im Park auf der Fläche von c.a. 22 ha gemacht. Es wird die Baumpflege gemacht. Das Untersuchungsprojekt soll den Park als einen wichtigen Teil des europäischen Kulturerbes zeigen. Es sollen die Archive und die Literatur in Deutschland, Polen und in Niederlande untersucht, eine Grundlage für einen neuen touristischen Kulturwanderweg und für die Verbindung des Parks mit den europäischen Wanderwegen gebildet werden. Die archäologischen Untersuchungen in der Baumschule sichern die bestehenden Rückstände, stellen das Gelände dar und stellen es den Touristen zur Verfügung. Die internationalen Workshops, die wissenschaftliche Konferenz und Ausstellungen zeigen die Ergebnisse der Untersuchungen an Fachleute, die mit Schutz und Popularisierung des Kulturerbes verbunden sind. Große Freilichtveranstaltungen locken die Touristen an. Die Maßnahmen im Projekt sind kohärent, komplementär, verbessern die Verfügbarkeit und die Attraktivität des Kulturerbes, erweitern den Wirkungskreis auf Europa und sie sind wichtig für die Entwicklung des Tourismus auf dem polnisch-deutschen Grenzgebiet.
Read more Description (EN): In order to make use of the huge potential of the Park for the development of the borderland region, it is necessary to undertake far-reaching activities, both investment and research programmes, promote results of the research activities and make available larger and larger areas of the Park. Investment activities will focus on the most neglected parts of both parts of the Park. The Cure House is the key building in the Cure Park, and the Viaduct and the nursery in Poland. It is planned to reconstruct the South-East wing of the Cure House and use it as a Centre for Visitors, to renovate the construction substance of the central risalit, and to reconstruct the North-West wing and use it as an Information Centre about the History of Mining and Sanatorium Treatment. In the Polish part of the Park, the Viaduct, which is a symbol of the Park and one of three preserved historic buildings from the 19. century, will be repaired by conservators. An inventory, map and an expert’s dendrological opinion of the greenery will be prepared for the surface of approx. 22 ha of the Park. According to its recommendations, the maintenance of trees will be undertaken.
The research project carried out by both Partners will make it possible to present the Park as an important part of the European heritage. It will comprise the examination of archives and literature in Germany, Poland, and Holland, and will form a basis for a new route of cultural tourism, as well as will make it possible to connect the Park with the existing routes in Europe. Archaeological excavations will secure existing remains in the area of the nursery, will display the image of the area, as well as will enable tourists to access it safely. International workshops, a scientific conference and exhibitions will present results of surveys to specialists in the protection and promotion of the cultural heritage. Large open-air events will attract tourists. The project activities are coherent, complementary and lead to the enhanced accessibility and attractiveness of the cultural heritage, strengthen its impact on Europe, and are of strategic importance for the development of tourism within the Polish and German borderland.
Read more Achievements (DE): Mit Unterzeichnung des Partnerschaftsvertrages zwischen beiden Einrichtungen wurde 2016 ein INTERREG-Projekt der aktuellen Förderperiode in der Prioritätsachse „Gemeinsames Natur- und Kulturerbe“ gestartet. Es verknüpfte verschiedene Maßnahmen in beiden Teilen des Muskauer Parks, die sowohl auf polnischer als auch auf deutscher Seite in zwei Arbeitspaketen bis Herbst 2018 umgesetzt wurden.
Im ersten Arbeitspaket waren verschiedene Investitionen geplant.
Es handelte sich dabei um den Wiederaufbau und die Ausstattung des verlorengegangenen Teils des Kurhauses, das zur historischen Bebauung des sogenannten Badeparks (eines auf der deutschen Seite südlich vom Schlosspark gelegenen Bereiches des Muskauer Parks) gehörte, und um eine denkmalgerechte Sanierung des Viadukts auf der polnischen Seite, eines von drei erhaltenen architektonischen Objekten im östlichen Parkteil. Ebenfalls auf der polnischen Seite wurden noch Dokumentations-, Ordnungs- und Pflegearbeiten im Gebiet der historischen Baumschule und deren Umgebung sowie im Baumbestand, der in diesem Parkbereich erhalten geblieben ist, durchgeführt.
Das zweite Arbeitspaket umfasste Forschungsarbeiten. Dazu gehörten Archivrecherchen, um die Erkenntnisse zur Geschichte des Parks zu erweitern, insbesondere für die Zeit von 1847 bis 1881, als Prinz Friedrich der Niederlande Eigentümer des Muskauer Parks war. Im polnischen Teil des Parks wurden archäologische Untersuchungen an der nicht mehr vorhandenen Infrastruktur der Baumschule, etwa der Wirtschaftsgebäude, durchgeführt.
Die Projektpartner haben eine wissenschaftliche Konferenz, Workshops, Ausstellungen und Open-Air-Veranstaltungen organisiert, um die Forschungsergebnisse zu präsentieren und die historische Parkanlage bekannter zu machen. Öffentlichkeitswirksame Maßnahmen begleiteten daher die unterschiedlichen Projektphasen. Ziel des Projektes war es, die kulturelle Infrastruktur zu entwickeln und das historisch bedeutsame Kulturerbe im Muskauer Park im deutsch-polnischen Grenzgebiet stärker erlebbar zu machen.

Read more Achievements (EN): With the signing of the partnership agreement between the two institutions, an INTERREG project of the current funding period was launched in 2016 in the priority axis “Common Natural and Cultural Heritage”. It linked various measures in both parts of Muskauer Park, which were implemented on both Polish and German sides in two work packages by autumn 2018.
Various investments were planned in the first work package.
It was the reconstruction and furnishing of the lost part of the spa house, which was part of the historic development of the so-called bathing park (a part of Muskauer Park on the German side south of the castle park) and a monument-appropriate renovation of the viaduct on the Polish side, one of three surviving architectural objects in the eastern part of the park. Also on the Polish side, documentation, ordering and maintenance work was carried out in the area of the historic nursery and its surroundings, as well as in the trees preserved in this park area.
The second work package included research work. These included archival research to expand the knowledge of the park’s history, especially for the period from 1847 to 1881, when Prince Frederick of the Netherlands was the owner of Muskauer Park. In the Polish part of the park archaeological investigations were carried out on the no longer existing infrastructure of the nursery, such as the farm buildings.
The project partners have organised a scientific conference, workshops, exhibitions and open-air events to present the research results and make the historic park more prominent. Public measures therefore accompanied the different phases of the project. The aim of the project was to develop the cultural infrastructure and to make the historically significant cultural heritage in the Muskauer Park in the German-Polish border area more tangible.
