The project “Romanian Bulgarian Organic- Entrepreneurial Network” (RBOEN) is addressed to encouraging yet low-rated Entrepreneurial and labour activities among people in the cross-border area of Constanta-Dobrich, in particular those interested in organic food production, its delivery and promotion and thus giving a chance of start-ups or existing business to develop a niche, crucial for sustainable economic development of the region. The project envisages achieving stronger cross-border partnership and cooperation through establishment of RBOENetwork; raising awareness of employment opportunities and Entrepreneurship in the area of organic food through the Web portal “Cross-Border Nature-Friendly Entrepreneurs” and organized training sessions; increasing the collaboration and partnership with education institutions to organize up-to-date trainings that meet the challenges of new business and demands of labour market and increasing the attractiveness of the border area through joint Organic festival “The gifts of Nature”. The project results in a number initiatives aiming to establish common business interests, common markets, including labour one as a stepping stone to the mid-long term sustainable growth and development of the cross-border region of Constanta (Romania) and Dobrich (Bulgaria) regions. The budget of the action is 136232.63EUR.

Achievements (EN):

The project is finalized. The following results were obtained: - 1 Organic - Entrepreneurial Network that links geographically the existing organic food businesses, start-ups, trainees and education and associated institutions; - 1 web portal “Cross-Border Nature-Friendly Entrepreneurs”, which can be accessed at the following link: http://eco-bs.eu/; - 2 spot-visit workshops at host farms and companies in the region of Constanta and Dobrich; - 1 joint Organic festival “The gifts of Nature”; - 3 training sessions and partnerships with education institutions in organic food area.

Expected Results (EN): R4.1 - Population that have access to joint employment initiatives

Expected Outputs (EN):

The project result indicators are in link with the programme result indicators as follow: Through RBOEN and Web portal “Cross-Border Nature-Friendly Entrepreneurs” not only the population of Dobrich and Constanta but all interested individuals will have access to organic food market and the labour opportunities it provides. Training sessions and workshops will meet at one and the same place business, start-ups, jobseekers and education institutions, interested in Organic agriculture and food production and distribution. One of the main results of the project will be the established RBOEN and the virtual portal “Cross-Border Nature-Friendly Entrepreneurs”, servicing Entrepreneurs demands, including those seeking labour alternatives and requalification. Another result is provided 3- module training sessions in organic food for all seeing in that key branch a chance for developing business and individuals seeking labour opportunities. The two spot-visit workshops at host farms and companies in the region of Constanta and Dobrich will convince of potential start-ups to work in the organic food field. The organized joint Organic festival “The gifts of Nature” will bring together start-ups, business and individuals interested in the target economic area. The above results are directly connected with the program result quantitative indicator of number of people with the access to employment initiatives.
