Description (EN):

The project addresses important common challenges related to labour market and quality employment in the RO-BR cross-border area as: high rate of unemployment in the targeted area, imbalance between the demand and supply of workforce, inadequate educational system to the employer’ needs, lack of integrated labour market in the cross border area. The project main objective is to encourage the labour mobility in key economic sectors in the cross border area through creating conditions for balance between demand and supply on the labour market. The estimated budget for implementing the proposed activities is 727 478,27 euro. It will be developed useful tools which will give information about the labour market and the potential economic sector for labour mobility as well as profiles of the most attractive enterprises which can invest in new job positions; give an opportunity to check the necessary skills and competences for a given profession in an economic sector through developed competence catalogues; help in competence assessment of the employees and the potential workers through e-tools for competence assessment; assist in improving skills and competences through set of e-training courses, including language courses; The expected results are: Created conditions for a balance between supply and demand of work in the RO-BG cross border area; Created conditions for sustainable jobs through developing e-training courses compliant to the employer needs; Encouraged labour mobility;

Achievements (EN):

The project was finalised on 03.04.2019. Results: 5 economic sectors on both sides of the border with potential for labour mobility selected through a jointly applied methodology; - Selecting 40 key positions in the selected economic sectors with identified potential for labour mobility; 5 bilingual competence catalogues with a description of the required knowledge, skills and competencies for the selected 40 key positions developed, validated and approved in Romania and Bulgaria; 1 trilingual internet portal . The modern design and the interactive screens allow easy and friendly access to the website resources - the CBC economic map, profiles of identified enterprises from both sides of the border with the potential to enable mobility of workforce from across the border, the competence catalogues, five e-tools for competency assessment, internet-based module for profiling unemployed and inactive persons, an e-learning platform (activity 8), an e-platform; 2 press conferences were organized (Veliko Tarnovo and Constanta).

Expected Results (EN): R4.1 - Population that have access to joint employment initiatives

Expected Outputs (EN): The initiative developed under the present project will comprise the whole cross border Romanian- Bulgarian area. All resources and tools developed under the project will be opened to every person in the CB area. Population that have access to joint employment initiatives - 50 000
