Project background: Joint creation/development of online service solution, connecting regional non-ICT companies with IT experts and matching cloud services. Based on open source waldur.com platform. Cross-border nature: Service operated and developed jointly by Makonix and OpenNode for ESTLAT programme area, utilizing Makonix Riga data center. Project objective: Develop a sustainable service for connecting experts and cloud solutions with non-ICT companies in the EstLat region. Main activities: Technical Development of platform and service portal.Business Development including Service design, Branding, Marketing activities etc.Pilot Phase. Project Management

Achievements (EN):

The objective of the project was to jointly develop a service of for connecting experts and cloud solutions with regional non-ICT companies in Estonia and Latvia to improve their efficiency through higher IT penetration. The service kratt.co allows to connect non-ICT companies with IT experts and allow the latter to integrate cloud tools with the non-ICT companies internal processes. The idea was to create a “booking.com for non-ICT companies”, where non-ICT companies can pick an expert they want, who would then be operating on their behalf and integrating tools like CRMs, ERPs, HR etc into the companies flow. During the project the platform and service portal kratt.co was devloped and tested by 20 test users to validate the business idea. It started with the prototype of the platform and followed with phase, when platform was extended to integrate IT experts catalogue, Makonix public cloud provider and functionality for hiring and working with freelance IT experts. As well, the platform was extended to support authentication with both Estonina and Latvian ID cards and translated into both languages. Partners also worked to extend business and contact networks. Further on, the two companies worked together on business development, which included working out service specifications, definition of the business idea, brand development (includes registration of international trademark and creation of marketing materials), market research and participation in the conferences. KRATT was presented at the following events - RigaComm 2017, sTARTUp Day 2017, CEBIT 2018, Latitude59 2018, KRATT seminar 2018. As a result, the experts and clouds are connected - KRATT helps you to manage cloud resources, find local IT experts and control infrastructure with a single dashboard.

Expected Results (EN): The share of entrepreneurs carrying out joint product or service development

Expected Outputs (EN):

As main objective of the project we are going to carry out joint development of online service, aimed at different stakeholders within program area and contributing to increasing EstLat programme result indicator target value (19% for year 2022). The service is going to be offered as cooperation of two companies: a software development company OpenNode from Estonia and IT service provider Makonix from Latvia. Technical platform development and operations would be led by OpenNode with both partners participating. Business development is carried out by both partners with concentration on the corresponding regions: Makonix in Latvia and OpenNode in Estonia. Business development would be carried out on equal participation.
