Lange Zeit war das entspannte Paar im dampfenden Warmwasserbecken in freier Natur ein typisches Bild für die Tourismus- und Thermenregionen im Osten von Slowenien und von der Steiermark. Mittlerweile könnte dieses Bild von überall stammen. Wellnesslandschaften sind zu einem weltweiten touristischen Standardangebot geworden. Die Region ist gefordert, ihr Profil zu schärfen. Ein erster Schritt war das Projekt Regio Vitalis, durch das die besondere regionale Natur und Kulinarik als wichtige Assets der Region erkannt und in den Mittelpunkt gerückt wurden. Um sich gegenüber anderen Regionen zu profilieren, braucht es aber mehr als das, nämlich klare, regionale Alleinstellungsmerkmale. Eine Analyse zeigte, dass die Projektregion in Mitteleuropa mit Abstand die größte Zahl an Thermal- und Mineralwasserquellen aufweist, das größte Apfelanbaugebiet besitzt und unangefochtenes Zentrum der Kürbiskernproduktion ist. Hinzu kommen weitere Leitprodukte wie Hollunder oder Honig, die für einzelne Regionen kennzeichnend sind. Ziel von Flagship Products ist es, in Kombination mit diesen Leitprodukten neue touristische Angebote zu entwicklen und dadurch ein außergewöhnliches Urlaubserlebnis zu kreiieren, das von anderen Regionen nicht einfach kopiert werden kann. Durch den Ansatz von Flagship Products wird erstmals eine Partnerschaft entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette eines Leitprodukts (Landwirt, Verarbeiter, Handel, Tourismus, etc.) aufgebaut, um sich gegenseitig bei Entwicklung, Vermarktung und Vertrieb zu unterstützen. Alle Aktivitäten erfolgen nach einer einheitlichen Vorgangsweise, die bilateral entwickelt wird. Für Thermal- und Mineralwasser, Apfel und Kürbiskerne werden gemeinsame, grenzüberschreitende Partnerschaften aufgebaut. Ergebnisse des Projektes sind eine Stärkung des Bewusstseins für regionale Besonderheiten, neue Kooperationen, neue Qualifikationsmodule, neue Produkt- und Erlebnisangebote rund um Leitprodukte und vor allem neue Gäste für die Region!

Dolgo časa je sproščeni par, ki sredi narave uživa v bazenu z vročo vodo, obdanem s paro, predstavljal tipično sliko turističnih in zdraviliških regij vzhode Slovenije in avstrijske Štajerske. Ta bi sicer lahko izvirala od koderkoli. Wellness pokrajine so namreč postale svetovni standard turistične ponudbe. Regija je tako izzvana k povečanju svoje prepoznavnosti. Prvi korak k temu je bil projekt Regio Vitalis, skozi katerega sta bili posebna regijska narava in kulinarika prepoznani kot pomembni prednosti regije in s tem postavljeni v središče. Da bi se regija konkurenčno razlikovala od drugih regij, potrebuje več kot to. To so jasno opredeljene regionalne unikatne prodajne točke (USP). Analiza je pokazala, da ima projektna regija daleč največje število termalnih in mineralnih vrelcev, največje območje pridelave jabolk in je nesporno središče proizvodnje bučnih semen v Srednji Evropi. K temu je potrebno dodati tudi druge vodilne produkte, kot sta npr. bezeg, ali med, ki so značilni za posamezne regije. Cilj projekta Flagship Products je v kombinaciji z vodilnimi produkti razviti nove turistične ponudbe in s tem ustvariti izjemna počitniška doživetja, ki jih druga območja ne bodo mogla enostavno kopirati. Skozi izvajanje projekta Flagship Products bo najprej oblikovano partnerstvo vzdolž celotne vrednostne verige posameznega vodilnega produkta (kmetovalci, predelovalci, trgovina, turizem, itd.), z namenom vzajemne podpore in sodelovanja pri njegovem razvoju, trženju in distribuciji. Vse aktivnosti se bodo izvajale po enoviti, bilateralno razviti metodologiji. Za termalno in mineralno vodo, jabolka in bučna semena bodo razvita skupna čezmejna partnerstva. Predvideni rezultati projekta so krepitev ozaveščenosti o regionalnih posebnostih, nova sodelovanja, novi moduli usposabljanja, nove ponudbe produktov in doživetij v povezavi z vodilnimi produkti in zlasti novi turistični obiskovalci regije!

For a long time the relaxed couple in the steaming hot tubs in the open air was a typical image for the tourism and thermal spring regions of eastern Slovenia and of Styria. Now this image could come from anywhere. Wellness areas have become a standard global tourist offer and so the region is being called on to raise its profile. A first step was the Regio Vitalis project, which allowed the region‘s particular landscape and cuisine to be recognised as important assets and to take centre stage. However, in order to stand out from other regions more is required, namely clear, regional unique selling points. An analysis has shown that the region of the project in Central Europe features by far the highest number of thermal and mineral springs, has the largest area of apple cultivation, and is the undisputed centre of pumpkin seed production. This is in addition to other leading products, such as elderberries or honey, which are typical of individual regions. The aim of Flagship Products is to develop new tourist offers in combination with these leading products and to thus create extraordinary holiday experiences that cannot simply be copied by other regions. The Flagship Products approach will for the first time enable a partnership to be established along the entire value added chain of a leading product, (farmer, host, business, tourism, etc.), to provide mutual support in development, marketing and sales. All activities will take place according to a standard approach, which will be developed bilaterally. Joint cross-border partnerships will be formed for thermal and mineral springs, apples and pumpkin seeds. The outcomes of the project will be raising the awareness of regional specialties, new kinds of cooperation, new qualification modules, new product and experience offers relating to leading products, and above all, new guests for the region!

Zentraler Output des Projektes sind neue Urlaubs-, Erlebnis-und Gesundheitsangebote für die Gäste der Region. Weitere Outputs sind neue Kompetenzen für das Personal im Tourismus, eine Weiterentwicklung bestehender Angebote und neue Formen der Positionierung und Vermarktung der Region. Resultat dieser Outputs wird sein, dass neue Gäste in die Region kommen, um die neuen Angebote in Anspruch zu nehmen, bestehende Gäste ihren Urlaub verlängern oder wiederkommen, weil sie das Angebot begeistert, und ehemalige Gäste durch ein erneuertes Angebot wiedergewonnen werden können. Alle diese Ergebnisse tragen zum Resultatindikator des Programmes, nämlich der Erhöhung der touristischen Übernachtungen, bei.

Glavni rezultat projekta je nova počitniška, doživljajska in zdravstvena ponudba za turistične obiskovalce, ki prihajajo v regijo. Nadalje so rezultati nova znanja za zaposlene v turizmu, nadaljnji razvoj obstoječe ponudbe ter nove oblike pozicioniranja in trženja regije. Navedeni rezultati bodo doprinesli k prihodu novih turističnih obiskovalcev, ki bodo koristili novo ponudbo, k podaljšanju dobe bivanja in k vračanju turistov, ker bodo ti navdušeni nad ponudbo, ter s prenovljeno ponudbo k povratku turistov, ki so destinacijo nekdaj že obiskovali. Vsi navedeni rezultati prispevajo k povečanju števila nočitev, torej doseganju programskega kazalnika.
