Description (EN):

Fourteen project partners from nine DTP countries joint their efforts in the NETWORLD proposal to manage the sustainable use of the WW1 cultural heritage by combining it with a quality cultural tourism. Ten ASP participate. During the preparation phase the proposal needs was identified. In order to have a joint WW1 heritage evaluation there is a need to upgrade the national efforts and results on a DTP level with a heritage management plan, database, strategy, project, results capitalisation, educational events and conferences. The stock of information will allow the link to develop cultural touristic routes to battlefield and memory places. The access will be improved by using innovative ICT tools. In order to have a large public recognition on the effects of the WW1 a further need is to analyse the heritage sites availability for touristic purposes, and to attract the younger generation by educational materials, games, ICT applications, lectures on WW1 impact, testing and demonstration activities. The DTP website information will allow follow up activities. NETWORLD contribute to the DTP programme objectives SO2.2 by strengthening the joint and integrated approaches in preserving and managing the WW1 cultural heritage and resources in the Danube region as a basis for sustainable development and growth, in order to increase mobility, sustainability, common remembering and cultural tourism. NETWORLD apply a system approach in managing the WW1 cultural heritage by identifying the lacks/needs for change on the heritage topics and related target groups needs to have the linkage between the heritage management and sustainable cultural tourism. The possibilities to link people to people within different cultures in the DTP countries will be performed by a common strategy and database, increased mobility, cultural tourism, applying ICT tools, demonstration and testing. The expected changes will be obtained by the performed activities and outputs.

Expected Results (EN): Intensity of cooperation of key actors in the programme area in order to strengthen sustainable use of natural and cultural heritage and resources (survey based composite indicator)

Expected Outputs (EN):

Partner’s cooperation intensity allows strengthening the sustainable use of WW1 heritage and resources. All partners benefit from the project results, advantages and benefits of outputs. The cooperation starts from the planning phase, during the implementation and follow-up. Results : a) improved accessibility to project results during implementation and follow up period of target groups as large audience, younger generation, experts (20%) b) improved communication and data exchange between partners from the Western and East front (15%), c) the multilingual dissemination activities allow the awareness rising of national organisations dealing with 1st WW (20%)(WP2), a) accessibility of information for local and regional authorities dealing with WW1 heritage protection on the management activities of sites protection and conservation (25%), b) improved communication between stakeholders from DTP and non DTP countries (15%) c) improved knowledge of large audience and younger generation on the shared pasts and common future (20%) (WP3), improved visitors access to 1st WW heritage sites (20%)(WP4), better knowledge about peace and war impacts (20%)(WP5) for the younger generation in deep knowledge on war impact (15%)(WP6).The management activities in WP1 will assure that results to be realised in due time, to be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant to objectives and to be transferable to other non DTP regions whit WW1 events as DE, IT, PL, UKR, FR, BE, NL, UK.
