Description (EN): The BalkanMed INNOVA Project partnership will establish a practical & innovative e-learning platform, i.e. the BalkanMed INNOVA Web-School for Entrepreneurial and lifelong learning, with a clear added-value for the European community as a whole, mainly due to the broad number of the end-users, whose transversal competences & skills, such as learning to learn, digital competence & entrepreneurial culture, will reinforce while bridging the worlds of education & business. Furthermore, the main products of the project will be the result of the collaboration of all the partners, will be produced in English & will be freely available on the internet through the project’s website for anyone interested to use them. In addition, each partner participates in several transnational networks and, through these contacts, the results of the project could be disseminated also outside the partnership countries. The trainers coming from all 5 participating countries will collaborate before the training by participating in a transnational training-the-trainers day where they are going to have the chance to exchange experiences & ideas in order to make the training of SMEs’ staff and young potential entrepreneurs more innovative & more interesting with transnational dimention. The stakeholders’ networks to be developed in each country are going to communicate & cooperate between them ensuring in this way the maximum transfer of knowledge & expertise. Conclusively, the philosophy of the project & the nature of the activities to be implemented will enhance European cooperation, as all partners involved will exchange experiences, knowledge, expertise, trends, will discuss & address common issues, thus increasing understanding & open-mindedness. BalkanMed INNOVA Project aims to create a unified Territory of knowledge from North Albania and FYROM to Cyprus and from Ionian Sea and Aegean Sea to Danude, where there will applied virtual based tools and novel approach for learning and vocational training of entrepreneurs, technology and knowledge transfer that will set-up the Web School. Beyond the joint training, it is expected that through the E-tutoring and peer mentoring consultations actions for start-ups young entrepreneurs will create their own new businesses by the end of the project.

Expected Results (EN): BalkanMed INNOVA focuses to build and provide new skills and advanced capabilities to SMES for 4 specific sectors. Any staff member of any SMEs & any interested potential entrepreneurs will acquire the state-of the art on relevant knowledge, so that to increase their competitiveness. There will be created new linkages among any interested vocational training, educational & research institutes and any business at the broaden area of Balkan MED and to the 4 most essential sectors. BalkanMed INNOVA will develop an open to all virtual, cloud based mechanism, the BalkanMed Innova Web-School, which will ensure exchange and transfer of knowledge among the participating territories. An open to all, transitional training procedure, (by open e-Courses) will improve skills and will bridge the gap between any academic education, vocational training & practical entrepreneurial learning, as well as between academic education and labour market.
In addition to this, by promoting entrepreneurial culture and encouragement any young graduates will be able to participate and set-up their own start-up so that to reduce the brain drain phenomena. It is mentioned the peer mentoring and e-tutoring for start-ups and the tangible results of at least 10 granted new start-ups produced within this project.
BalkanMED Innova partnership ensures the establishment of a partnership among any education/ training centres/ vocational centres and business in the 5 coutnries. It will contribute to transnational exchange of knowledge, improve the competiveness of any interested SMEs and link research and innovation with the business sector at transnational level.
Read more Expected Outputs (EN): BalkanMed INNOVA will identify the territorial specific training needs related to entrepreneurship linked to the 4 sectors of interest. By understanding and articulating the training needs of any SMEs/practitioners and individuals so that to efficiently develop of the “tailor-made” training modules that will directly address those needs. It will use a special methodology to reach all the possible target groups & stakeholders, and motivate all possible beneficiaries. There will be introduced special training schemes, procedures and tools for 4 specific areas ICT for SMEs, Cultural Heritage and Tourism, Energy and Environment, Agribusiness and a 5th horizontal the cross-sectoral course Entrepreneurial Culture & business ethics.
There will be also organized an intensive training course TRANSNATIONAL TRAINING THE TRAINERS Day(s) that will give the skills and knowledge to the experts for presenting to business audiences their research and knowledge,
this training course will be on “communicating science & knowledge to business”).
There will also be organized an intensive online course on “Courses accessible to all” on the design and development of courses and materials in order to be accessible to all, so as the material to be produced to be in full compliance with and actively contribute to the EU horizontal principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination. It is expected that for every sector at least 30 participants from every participating territorial will join the online courses i.e. (4*6*30=720 people). It is expected that 20% of them will present a business idea based on their training and vocational education, that means 144 people. Then it is expected that at least 10 per sector (that means 40) will continue to build their own business plan and finally 2 per partner, that means 12 will receive grants to stat-up their own business.
