Like! will sigificantly enhance the capacity of the public sector to facilitate and deliver innovation and result in the development of a wide range of services with innovative solutions for improved public service delivery. Local governments, citizens, universities and SMEs will come together to co-create smarter, more efficient and more innovative services through 9 transnational pilots that cover 3 core themes.Like! will create a Local Digital Innovation Culture across the NSR, giving authorities practitioners new skills and knowledge to deliver innovative services, to develop new ways to engage with communities, and to build more inclusive services. These skills will be used by local and transnational innovation teams to deliver new and innovative Smart Services in the NSR that use information more efficiently, that communicate using appropriate channels and content, and which help governments move from delivering generic to truly local services that meet real community needs.These Smart Services will underpin activities to create a Digital DNA for the City/Neighbourhood, where a transnational digital dashboards will be developed by authorithies to turn data into information that will be used by citizens, policymakers, SMEs and researchers to understand how cities and neighbourhoods are working. This will be complemented by work on integrating information from IoT sensors and complement work to enable the use of local data and information for local services.

Achievements (EN):

Highlights of main achievements of the Like! Building a Local Digital Innovation Culture. With a consortium of 10 partners (local and regional authorities and knowledge instutions) across 5 North Sea Region countries we have worked at LIKE! project's deliverables. Here we describe the main achievements and highlight some of the results: Strengthening research, technological development and innovation Over the last 3,5 years the LIKE! project has significantly enhanced the capacity of the public sector in the North Sea Region to facilitate and deliver innovation, resulting in the development of a wide range of new and innovative services for improved public service delivery and delivering a substantive reach and impact across significant numbers of citizens and service users, organisations, and regions. LIKE! has delivered results at scale and shown significant engagement and impact across partners and regions. Increasing the scope of innovation in public service delivery LIKE! has brought together local governments, citizens, universities and SMEs from across the North Sea Region to co-create a huge range of smarter, more efficient and more innovative services, delivering more than 100 activities, more than 50 new services, and reaching more than a million users. By focusing on local innovation that is close to communities and companies, and by using a range of approaches to engage with and involve end-users, the services developed by Like! are clearly what end-users look for. Local Digital Innovation Cultures and Smart Services LIKE has successfully demonstrated how to build Local Digital Innovation Cultures across the North Sea Region, giving participants and partners new skills and knowledge to deliver innovative services, to develop new ways to engage with communities, and to build more inclusive services. Services which have been restructured by LIKE participants have reached more than 250,000 users to date.These skills have been used by both local and transnational innovation teams to deliver more than 50 new and innovative Smart Services in the NSR that use information more efficiently, that communicate with citizens using more appropriate channels and content, and which have helped governments move from delivering generic services to delivering truly local services that meet real community needs. These new services have now been used more than 750,000 times by citizens, organisations and SMEs across the North Sea Region. This evidences our success in developing services that meet the needs for all segments of the population. Digital Dashboards These Smart Services have underpinned our efforts to create Digital DNA for Cities & Neighbourhoods, where a more than 160 digital dashboards – across a huge range of areas, from health to nature – have been used to turn data into information by more than 150,000 citizens, policymakers, SME’s and researchers. This is complemented by work on integrating local data and information from IoT sensors, and which supports LIKE!’s pilots that enable the use of local data and information for local services. Magazines - an accessible route into our findings, outcomes, and lessons learned In a total we have 4 transnational magazines: Developing a Local Digital Innovation Culture Developing Smarter Services Creating Digital DNA for Cities and Neighbourhoods Developing your approach to Innovation" - in this last magazine we provide highlights of 10 of the project’s transnational collaborations, showcasing the breadth and depth of collaboration across Work Packages and themes in LIKE!.
