Description (EN):

Targeted CB area abounds with natural, historic & cultural resources, which are economically underexploited, due to many reasons stemming in poor tourism infrastructure, low level of marketing of region’s cultural heritage, the lack of information exchange within the tourism industry and undiversified tourist offer. The weakness is also the lack of communication between tourist operators in Croatia&Serbia, lack of effective destination management on local/regional level and absence of an effective marketing strategy able to valorize & promote the area.The project aims precisely to foster development of tourism in the region by influencing skills & capacities of the stakeholders & operators of the sector, valorizing the regions’ tourist potential, by improving the organization of the offer in Croatian & Serbian cross-border region, by creating a joint offer of tourist products/services, as well as fostering the economic development & effectively increasing the competitiveness of regional tourist sector, by providing the joint destination management tools to the target group. The project is relevant for the country, region & target groups/beneficiaries because it links together stakeholders from cross border region to create a network between the operators of the sector, increasing the level of skills of the target group, setting the tourist information flow between both sides of the border, creating joint tourist products/routes based on the analysis of overall territory, promoting & managing joint tourist offer, introducing IT system in joint destination management. Key oucomes are common e-cluster platform, three tourism cross-border tourist products/routes, educated stakeholders, increased expected number of visitors. Main target groups are local public authorities, interest groups including NGO, SME and general public. Added value are enriched tourist offer, common promotion & increased competence of participants or users of outcomes & results of the Project.

Expected Results (EN): Number of overnights in the programme area.

Expected Outputs (EN):

Main results: 1. PR and external communication plan created; 2. 6 researches conducted and the results stabbed in the form of three studies; 3. 3 round tables held in order to define 3 common tourism routes; 4. Gastro, eco and recreation specifics (points) of the cross-border region linked together in 3 common routes; 5. Short promo movie recorded; 6. 50 stakeholders, as the main promoters of created routes, educated; 7. 10-month intensive social media marketing campaign conducted; 8. e-cluster platform established; 9. 20 cooperations established between 20 tourism entities (common tourist services). Resources need to be researched to determine what we have on both sides. Ones we know what we have, common points must be identified. Common gastro, eco and recreation points will be linked in 3 routes. Establishement of a new tourist offer (in this chase 3 new tourism routes) supported by a good and intensive promotion via social-media will affect the spread of awareness about new tourist offer and will attract tourists in the cross-border region. E-cluster platform will not only serve the needs of cluster members but will also provide information about the routes and enable online reservations. Education will contribute to excellence of the offers and teach stakeholders how to promote which will further contribute to the promotion of routes. All this will affect the attraction of tourists which increases the number of overnights in the cross-border region.
