In the CBC area of GR-AL one of the biggest challenges is the appropriate Waste Management in municipal and regional level. Although couple of CB and national programmes has been executed in the past, little progress has been achieved in relation with the waste recycling and re-use. GREEN POINT MOB project brings an innovative way of recycling in remote and distance areas where no any possibility to recycle existing before and at the same time promotes recycling-at-home. Primary goal of the project is to improve the waste management of remote and distant areas by increasing 50% the waste recycling in relation with the state before. In order to achieve this goal the GREEN POINT MOB gives a lot of emphasis to the appropriate training of citizens and to information events that accompany the placement of the GREEN POINT MOB (a mobile recycling unit for all different waste streams) in order to recycle in practice starting from the young generations and persuade the older ones. GREEN POINT MOB project put a lot of emphasis to the raise awareness activities with open dissemination events in total eight (8) places where the GREEN POINT MOBS will temporary establish. There, training and educational activities will take place with the participation of young and old about proper waste management practices and recycling-at-home attitude. Prior to each open event, information seminars to the project areas will initiate for students, civil servants, companies' employees to set-up the ground for responsible waste management and the use of GREEN POINT MOB. A Need's Assessment report will initiate in every project area showing the current state of recycling process and the level of waste management. Based on the findings, concrete Local Recycling Plans (LRP) will be drafted with specific actions in every municipality towards the duplication of the recycling process. At the areas without any recycling yet, the goal is set at 10% of waste recycling. GREEN POINT MOB strives to tackle the waste management in a holistic approach transferring the Integrated Waste Management of Western Macedonia (IWM) to the Albanian counterparts. This will be achieved though joint planning and implementation process, by sharing staff and trying to improve the people's capacities in Waste Management. The partners have a unique opportunity to learn from each other (e.g. DIADYMA implements IWM more than 10 years being the 1st such organization in country level and could help substantially the Albanian partners to their efforts) but also to set-up a long lasting collaboration after the project ends. The project delivers the originallity of the GREEN POINT MOBS, a mobile container with all recycling streams for remote and distant areas to start actively the recycling process. GREEN POINT MOB's added value is the effort to change people' attitude towards a more responsible waste management following proper recycling practices and methods in remote areas.

Expected Results (EN):

A. Raise Awareness Results (achieved at 2nd and 3rd semester), Results: 1) In total 8 raise awareness events (2 per PP area) will take place in open spaces with participation of local authorities, students, individuals. Goal is to direct inform 1500 individuals where the recycling guide will be provided. 2) Prior to events, targeted information seminars to schools, civil servants, companies will take place with goal 500 persons. B. Capacity Building results (fully achieved the 4th semester), Results: 1) Capacity building of the workers in the waste management companies but also to all municipal employees. In addition training session will cover students, companies, civil servants with goal to train 1000 individual in proper recycling practicesas and use of the mobile Green point. 2) 200 hrs of training will be provided to the persons who operate and handle the MOBILE GREEN POINTS in excellent condition in terms of cleaning and mechanical condition. C. Environmental Benefits Results (Achieved at 3rd and 4th semester), Results Indicators: 1) From the environmental point of view the goal is to reduce the CO2 emission by 500 tons based solely on the project achievements. 2) The project envisaged the landfilling prevention of 500t of waste during the project operation. 3) Goal is to alter the recycling practices at the demonstration areas by 100%. D. Alter the recycling equipment (Achieved at the 2nd semester) GREEN POINT MOB project will proceed to the supply of 4 GREEN POINT MOBS containers with collection of more than 10.000lt recycled waste for each mobile green point. In addition the PP's will be equipped with bins for recycling-at-source purposes with overall capacity of 222.000lt for all PPs. E. Socio-Economic Results (Achieved at 4th semester) GREEN POINT MOB promotes employment. For every 20 tons of recycled material 1 job placement is created. Goal of the project is to create 20 jobs in recycling business.

Expected Outputs (EN):

WP1 (D1x2) This deliverable foreseen a complete Working Plan with analytical timetable for actions. In addition, an online Project Management Tool (PMT) will be developed where all tasks, timetables, project data will be available for the partnership. For any change/alteration to the online tool each user (all PPs) will be informed by email. WP2(D211) A complete Communication Plan with detailed instructions of the information and training material to be produced. Special attention is given to the use of obligatory signs of project logo, EU flag and EU co-financing message. (D2x2) A 12 page guide for proper recycling practices (1.500 copies), an information leaflet (4p, 7000 copies) and a 20p final publication (500copies) (D2x3) 8 dissemination events (complete file with signatures, photos, and media covering). In addition, proves of the information seminars,with photos, signatures of the attendees training material.WP3(D3x2) In total 4 LRP will develop. Each plan will describe into detail the actions towards realistic goals for waste recycling in the local communities based on current status analysis.(D3x3) Information sessions to municipal employees, civil servants and students for 500 individuals offering it total 600 hrs of recycling practices. WP4-(D4x2) Supply of equipment (4 Green Points MOB equipped with 8 bins for different waste streams of 1100 lt each, as well as pallet-bins for batteries and lamps, little tanks for used oils, shelves for electrical equipment,etc, 380 bins for recycling).(D4x3) Capacity building for 200 hrs. of the workers and officials for the use of GREEN POINT MOB by locals. WP5(D5x1) Demonstration of GREEN POINT to local neighbourhoods of PPs areas. In total a period of 6m will be last the demonstration period. The development of the LRP will ensure how many days an Mobile Green Point will remain in each remote area and the passing frequency.
