Το έργο στοχεύει στην ανάπτυξη ενός δικτύου καταδυτικών διαδρομών σε θαλάσσιες περιοχές, ως εργαλείο για την προστασία του θαλάσσιου περιβάλλοντος, τη διατήρηση της φυσικής και την ανάδειξη της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς, την ευαισθητοποίηση του κοινού, για την προστασία του θαλάσσιου περιβάλλοντος καθώς και τη βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη του τουρισμού, ιδιαίτερα του καταδυτικού, εμπλουτίζοντας και διαφοροποιώντας τις παρεχόμενες τουριστικές υπηρεσίες. Η προώθηση νέων ιδεών, καθώς και η μεταφορά τεχνογνωσίας σε θέματα διαχείρισης και προστασίας θαλάσσιων περιοχών με καταδυτική δραστηριότητα θα βοηθήσουν στην ενίσχυση της οικονομίας και τη διαφοροποίηση των δραστηριοτήτων στις περιοχές του έργου. Αυτό θα επιτρέψει την ανάπτυξη των υποδομών και τη συσσώρευση εμπειρίας για τη διακρατική αειφόρο ανάπτυξη και τον οικονομικό σχεδιασμό με έμφαση στον τουρισμό. Τέλος, θα χρησιμοποιηθεί καινοτόμος τεχνολογία ακουστικής επιτήρησης μίας διαδρομής. Το έργο προβλέπει την οριοθέτηση 4 τουλάχιστον προστατευόμενων περιοχών με χάραξη καταδυτικών διαδρομών στην Ελλάδα, σε 2 από τις οποίες θα γίνει και πόντιση τεχνητών υφάλων με σκοπό την αύξηση της βιοποικιλότητας. Στην Κύπρο θα γίνει πόντιση τεχνητών υφάλων και αγαλμάτων στη θέση Δασούδι. Επιπρόσθετα το έργο προβλέπει την χαρτογράφηση και εξέταση της δυνατότητας κήρυξης Ενάλιων Επισκέψιμων Αρχαιολογικών Χώρων σε περιοχές οι οποίες παρουσιάζουν μεγάλο πολιτισμικό ενδιαφέρον όπως η Λέρος και οι Φούρνοι στην Ελλάδα ενώ για την Κύπρο προβλέπεται καθαρισμός, αποκατάσταση και αποτύπωση του αρχαίου λιμανιού Αμαθούντας για σκοπούς ανάδειξης και δημιουργίας καταδυτικής διαδρομής.

Description (EN):

The project aims at developing a network of diving routes in marine areas as a tool for protecting the marine environment, preserving and promoting the natural and cultural heritage, raising public awareness, protecting the marine environment and the sustainable development of tourism, especially diving, enriching and diversifying the provided tourist services. The promotion of new ideas as well as the transfer of know-how on the management and protection of marine areas with diving activity will help to strengthen the economy and diversify activities in the project areas. This will allow the development of infrastructure and the accumulation of the experience for transnational sustainable development and economic planning with emphasis on tourism. Finally, innovative one-way audio surveillance technology will be used. The project foresees the demarcation of at least 4 protected areas with diving routes in Greece, in 2 of which artificial reefs will be dug in order to increase biodiversity. In Cyprus there will be diving of artificial reefs and statues in the place Dasoudi. In addition, the project foresees the mapping and examination of the possibility of declaring Marine Archaeological Sites to be visited in areas of great cultural interest such as Leros and Fourni in Greece, while for Cyprus the purification, rehabilitation and demolition of the ancient port of Amathus is planned for the purpose of designing and creating diving route.

Expected Results (EL):

Η δημιουργία ενός δικτύου καταδυτικών διαδρομών με περιβαλλοντικό, πολιτιστικό και φυσικού κάλλους ενδιαφέρον σε Ελλάδα και Κύπρο, καθώς και η στοχευμένη προβολή του, αναμένεται να ενισχύσει την τουριστική κίνηση και στις δύο χώρες κα όχι μόνο στις συγκεκριμένες περιοχές. Επιπλέον λόγω της φύσης του καταδυτικού τουρισμού, αναμένεται όχι μόνο η αύξηση σε απόλυτο αριθμό επισκεπτών και διανυκτερεύσεων αλλά και η σημαντική αύξηση των εσόδων από τον τουρισμό. Τα αναμενόμενα αποτελέσματα εκφράζονται με τον αριθμό των ετήσιων διανυκτερεύσεων σε τουριστικά καταλύματα. Η εκτίμηση τόσο για την Ελλάδα, όσο και για την Κύπρο σχετίζεται με τις ετήσιες διανυτερεύσεις των νέων επισκέψεων, ενώ δεν λαμβάνεται υπόψη η πιθανή αύξηση διανυκτερεύσεων των υφιστάμενων επισκεπτών. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, η εκτίμηση ανέρχεται σε 230.000 διανυκτερεύσεις για την Ελλάδα και σε 190.000 διανυκτερεύσεις για την Κύπρο, κατ' ελάχιστον. Από τα αναμενόμενα αποτελέσματα που δεν σχετίζονται με τους δείκτες αποτελέσματος σημαντική είναι και η εκπαιδευτική διάσταση του έργου όχι μόνο με την εκπαίδευση αυτοδυτών αλλά και με την προβλεπόμενη περιβαλλοντική ευαισθητοποίηση των πολιτών και ειδικά των νέων σε σχέση με το θαλάσσιο περιβάλλον και ειδικά την βιώσιμη αλιεία και το σεβασμό στο ενάλιο πολιτιστικό μας απόθεμα.

Expected Results (EN):

The development of a network of diving routes with environmental, cultural and natural beauty in Greece and Cyprus, as well as its targeted visibility, is expected to boost tourist traffic in both countries and not only in specific areas. Moreover, due to the nature of diving tourism, it is expected not only an increase in absolute number of visitors and overnight stays, but also a significant increase in tourism revenue. The expected results are expressed by the number of annual nights spent in tourist accommodation. The estimate for both Greece and Cyprus is related to the annual overnight stays of the new visits and does not take into account the possible increase in the stays of existing visitors. In this context, the estimate is 230,000 nights for Greece and 190,000 overnight stays for Cyprus, at least. Of the expected results that are not related to the result indicators, the educational dimension of the project is important not only with the education of divers but also with the planned environmental awareness of the citizens and especially of the young people in relation to the marine environment and especially the sustainable fishing and respect for our cultural heritage

Οι αναμενόμενες εκροές από το έργο είναι οι εξής: - ανάδειξη 8 περιοχών ως θεματικών τουριστικών προορισμών (επιλογή θέσεων για ανάπτυξη πιλοτικών δράσεων με χρήση του μοντέλου καταλληλότητας ) . - μελέτη πεδίου και συλλογή πρωτογενών στοιχείων τόσο για το φυσικό περιβάλλον, όσο και για το πολιτισμικό απόθεμα στις επιλεχθείσες θέσεις (Ενδεικτικές Περιοχές (EL): Λέρος, Κάλυμνος, Λειψοί, Ρόδος, Νάξος, Πάρος, Φούρνοι, Σάμος, (CY): Δασούδι, Αμαθούντα)). Με βάση τις αναμενόμενες εκροές ο βασικός στόχος, τόσο στην Ελλάδα όσο και στην Κύπρο, είναι η αύξηση του αριθμού επισκέψεων σε τοποθεσίες πολιτιστικής και φυσικής κληρονομιάς και τόπους τουριστικού ενδιαφέροντος. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, στην Ελλάδα αναμένεται αύξηση 10% επί του αριθμού καταδυομένων το 2013 (ήτοι 23.000 επισκέψεις κατ' έτος), ενώ στην Κύπρο αναμένεται 5% επί του αριθμού των 380.000 επισκέψεων του 2015 (ήτοι 19.000 επισκέψεις κατ' έτος).

Expected Outputs (EN):

The expected outputs from the project are as follows: - designation of 8 areas as thematic tourist destinations (selection of sites for pilot actions using the suitability model). - Field study and collection of primary elements for both the natural environment and the cultural reserve in the selected locations (GR): Leros, Kalymnos, Lipsi, Rhodes, Naxos, Paros, Fournoi, Samos, (CY): Dasoudi, Amathouda)). Based on expected outputs, the key objective, both in Greece and Cyprus, is to increase the number of visits to areas of cultural and natural heritage and to areas of tourist interest. In this context, Greece is expected to have a 10% increase in the number of dives in 2013 (23,000 visits a year), while in Cyprus it is expected that 5% of the number of 380,000 visits in 2015 (19,000 visits per year).
