Le projet FormaWood vise à soutenir les entreprises et les professionnels du secteur bois construction, communément considéré comme un important vecteur d’emplois et porteur de réponses à des enjeux économiques et écologiques de première importance. Dans ce contexte, les opérateurs du projet ont pour objectif de développer des outils et de créer les conditions permettant une montée en qualification des professionnels dans les techniques de mise en œuvre du matériau bois dans la construction. Le projet est né d’un constat de la part des entreprises du secteur, à savoir que l’offre de formation, tant en Belgique qu’en France, est particulièrement éparse et peu adapté aux réalités du métier. Dans ces conditions, la question de la bonne tenue dans le temps des ouvrages en bois, de même que le développement et la pérennité du secteur bois construction se pose. Dans cette optique, un plan d’action a été établi pour proposer un programme complet de formations basé sur un état des pathologies récurrentes en construction bois, à pallier l’inadéquation entre l’offre et la demande de formations, et, enfin, à pérenniser les entreprises et les professionnels du secteur bois construction.

The FormaWood project aims to support companies and professionals in the construction timber sector, which is commonly considered as an important source of employment and solutions to key economic and ecological issues. In this context, the objective of the project operators is to develop tools and create the conditions that will enable professionals to become skilled in the techniques used to implement wood materials in construction. The project was born from an observation from companies in the sector from both Belgium and France, that there is a distinct lack of training possibilities, and when it does exist, that it is poorly adapted to the realities of the profession. Under these conditions, the question arises about proper performance of the wooden structures over time, as well as the development and sustainability of the timber construction sector. In this regard, an action plan has been drawn up to propose a comprehensive training programme based on an inventory of recurrent failings in the timber construction sector, to compensate for the mismatch between the supply and demand of training and, finally, to shore up businesses and professionals in the wood construction sector.

Het project FormaWood wil steun bieden aan ondernemingen en professionelen in de bouwhoutsector, die algemeen wordt beschouwd als een sector die veel werkgelegenheid creëert en oplossingen biedt voor cruciale economische en ecologische thema’s. In deze context willen de projectoperatoren instrumenten ontwikkelen en omstandigheden creëren die vakmensen in staat stellen meer vaardigheid te verwerven in de technieken voor de toepassing van houtmaterialen in de bouw. Het project is ontstaan uit de vaststelling van ondernemingen in de sector, zowel in België als in Frankrijk, dat er een gebrek is aan opleidingsmogelijkheden en dat ze, als die wel bestaan, weinig aangepast zijn aan de realiteit van het beroep. In die omstandigheden worden de prestaties van de houten structuren in de tijd in vraag gesteld, evenals de ontwikkeling en duurzaamheid van de houtbouwsector. In deze context is een actieplan uitgewerkt om een allesomvattend opleidingsprogramma voor te stellen, gebaseerd op een inventaris van steeds terugkerende problemen in de houtbouwsector; het gebrek aan evenwicht tussen vraag en aanbod inzake opleiding te verhelpen; en de ondernemingen en professionelen in de houtbouwsector te ondersteunen.

Achievements (FR):

Depuis le démarrage du projet au 01 octobre 2016, le projet FormaWood s’est illustré sur le terrain par : - Un programme de modules de formations itinérantes ; - Des visites de chantiers, d’entreprises et de réalisations, ainsi qu’un voyage d'études à l'étranger ; - Des supports pédagogiques (maquettes, valises “condetti”, fiches techniques, référentiels de formation, vidéos-tutoriels), ainsi qu’un argumentaire en faveur de l’usage du bois à destination des prescripteurs publics et privés et deux ouvrages d’architecture valorisant divers projets en bois. Depuis que FormaWood est en exercice, les opérateurs ont concrètement : - élaboré des outils de communication commun au projet comme un site internet (www.formawood.eu), des pages sur les réseaux sociaux (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn), un flyer de présentation, un roll-up et un dossier de presse, afin d’y présenter la philosophie du projet, les partenaires impliqués, les publics ciblés et les actions planifiées ; - conçu une charte graphique commune déclinable à l’ensemble des supports de communication ; - collaboré à l’organisation de l’évènement de lancement du portefeuille de projets Feel Wood ; - participé aux 2 journées de teambuilding initiées par le portefeuille de projets Feel Wood ainsi qu’à l’organisation d’une 3ème journée de teambuilding annulée en raison de la crise sanitaire ; - effectué un état des lieux des formations et des outils didactiques existants sur le territoire transfrontalier ; - effectué une analyse des acquis d’apprentissage en formation initiale des architectes, ingénieurs-architectes et ingénieurs en construction bois, et évalué les besoins en formations des professionnels présents sur ce territoire ; - identifié et développé une ingénierie de formation commune au territoire transfrontalier avec des prestataires externes autour de 4 thématiques : « le confort acoustique dans les bâtiments en bois », « les revêtements extérieurs de façades en bois sur base du DTU 41-2 et de la NIT 243 », « l’hygrothermie et les noeuds constructifs » et « la sécurité incendie dans les bâtiments en bois » ; - organisé 2 journées test en prévision de la mise en œuvre de la formation pratique sur les « revêtements extérieurs de façades en bois », rassemblant 11 professionnels venus tester le module de formation proposé ; - organisé 11 journées de formations théoriques sur le « confort acoustique dans les bâtiments en bois », 4 journées de formations théoriques et 6 pratiques sur les « revêtements extérieurs de façades en bois », 16 journées de formations alliant la théorie et la pratique autour de « l'hygrothermie et les noeuds constructifs », ainsi que 6 journées de formation théorique sur la « sécurité incendie dans les bâtiments en bois », c'est-à-dire au total 43 JOURNÉES DE FORMATION en provinces de Namur, Hainaut, Luxembourg et en région Hauts-de-France (29 LIEUX DE FORMATION répartis sur tout le territoire) avec un total de 445 participants et de 5 formateurs ; - réalisé une 1ere FICHE TECHNIQUE sur le confort acoustique dans les bâtiments en bois ; réalisé une 2ème FICHE TECHNIQUE sur la sécurité incendie dans les bâtiments en bois, ainsi que la conception de 3 vidéos-tutoriels autour de la pose des revêtements de façades en bois ; - réalisé un ARGUMENTAIRE BOIS en faveur du bois dans les bâtiments multi-étagés à l’attention des promoteurs publics et privés suivi d’un COLLOQUE à l’attention des fonctionnaires de la Société Wallonne du Logement rassemblant 73 participants ; - mis en ligne 3 VIDÉOS-TUTORIELS traitant de la pose des revêtements de façade extérieurs en bois, qu’il s’agisse de bardage vertical ou horizontal, ajouré ou rainuré-languetté. - organisé 3 JOURNÉES DE VISITES de chantiers et de projets en bois sur Bruxelles, Liège et en région Hauts-de-France, ce qui a rassemblé 141 participants au total et mobilisé 25 intervenants. - engagé l’organisation d’une 4eme JOURNÉE DE VISITES d’entreprise, de chantier et de projets bois en région Hauts-de-France à laquelle s’étaient inscrits 42 participants, finalement annulée en raison de la crise sanitaire ; - organisé 1 VOYAGE D'ÉTUDES à Québec en encadrant une délégation de 29 professionnels belges et français ; - réalisé 2 CARNETS D’ARCHITECTURE référençant respectivement 35 projets en bois (avec 73 professionnels renseignés) pour le Tome 1 et 42 projets en bois (avec 105 professionnels renseignés) pour le Tome 2 sur le territoire transfrontalier. - organisé un événement de clôture commun à FormaWood et ProFilWood, en raison de la complémentarité des 2 projets, au Parc Your Nature à Antoing, une localité proche de la frontière française, qui a rassemblé 64 professionnels.

Since the start of the project on 01 October 2016, the FormaWood project has been illustrated in the field by: — A programme of mobile training modules; — Visits to construction sites, companies and achievements, as well as a study trip abroad; — Educational materials (models, “condetti” suitcases, technical sheets, training frameworks, video tutorials), as well as an argument in favour of the use of wood for public and private prescribers and two architectural works promoting various wooden projects. Since FormaWood has been in operation, operators have actually: — developed communication tools common to the project such as a website (www.formawood.eu), pages on social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn), a presentation flyer, a roll-up and a press kit, in order to present the project philosophy, the partners involved, the target audiences and planned actions; — designed a common graphic charter that can be adapted to all communication media; — collaborated in the organisation of the Feel Wood project portfolio launch event; — participated in the 2 days of teambuilding initiated by the portfolio of Feel Wood projects as well as in the organisation of a 3 rd day of teambuilding cancelled due to the health crisis; — carried out an inventory of existing training and teaching tools on cross-border territory; — carried out an analysis of the learning outcomes in initial training of architects, engineers-architects and engineers in wood construction, and assessed the training needs of professionals present in that territory; — identified and developed a training engineering common to the cross-border territory with external providers around 4 themes: ‘acoustic comfort in wooden buildings’, ‘exterior coatings of wooden facades based on DTU 41-2 and NIT 243’, ‘hygrothermia and constructive knots’ and ‘fire safety in wooden buildings’; — organised 2 test days in preparation for the implementation of the practical training on “outer coatings of wooden facades”, bringing together 11 professionals to test the proposed training module; — organised 11 days of theoretical training on “acoustic comfort in wooden buildings”, 4 days of theoretical training and 6 practices on “outer coatings of wooden facades”, 16 training days combining theory and practice around “hygrothermie and constructive knots”, as well as 6 days of theoretical training on “fire safety in wooden buildings”, 16 training days combining theory and practice around “hygrothermie and constructive knots”, as well as 6 days of theoretical training on “fire safety in wooden buildings”, i.e. all-day training on “hygrothermia and constructive knots”, as well as 6 days of theoretical training on “fire safety in wooden buildings”, i.e. in all regions of France, 43 JOURNATIONAL INFORMATION, 4 days of theoretical training on “fire safety in wooden buildings”; — carried out a 1st TECHNICAL FICHE on acoustic comfort in wooden buildings; realised a 2nd TECHNICAL FICHE on fire safety in wooden buildings, as well as the design of 3 video-tutorials around the installation of wooden facade coverings; — produced an ARGUMENTARY BOIS in favour of wood in multi-stage buildings for the attention of public and private developers followed by a COLLOQUE for officials of the Wallonne Housing Society bringing together 73 participants; — uploaded 3 VIDÉOS-TUTORIALS dealing with the installation of exterior wooden facade coverings, whether vertical or horizontal, openwork or grooved-Language. — organised 3 DAY OF VISITS of construction sites and wooden projects in Brussels, Liège and the Hauts-de-France region, which brought together 141 participants in total and mobilised 25 speakers. — initiated the organisation of a 4th JOURNÉE DE VISITS d’entreprise, construction site and wood projects in the Hauts-de-France region in which 42 participants had registered, finally cancelled due to the health crisis; — organised 1 STUDY VOYAGE in Quebec City by overseeing a delegation of 29 Belgian and French professionals; — realised 2 ARCHITECTURE CARNETS referring respectively 35 wooden projects (with 73 trained professionals) for Volume 1 and 42 wooden projects (with 105 trained professionals) for Volume 2 on cross-border territory. — organised a joint closing event in FormaWood and ProFilWood, due to the complementarity of the two projects, at the Parc Your Nature in Antoing, a locality close to the French border, which brought together 64 professionals.
