Description (EN):

The CULTSTREAM is continuation of the CULTRAIL project. It is a series of cultural and multimedia events, which’s aim is to strengthen the cultural identity of the involved cities (Szeged, Kanjiza and Senta) and to develop the neighbourly connections between the inhabitants of the border-land. The programs are building upon the common historical, cultural and economical traditions of the region. Beside the introduction of these, the purpose is to introduce the contemporary art’s ambitions and ar tists of the region. The common issue of the several programs is the Blooming of Tisa, the new culture of water. The Festivals organised on this topic turn the river into a festival location, where the clientele could meet with the representatives of the contemporary Serbian and Hungarian literature and the musical and theatrical life. The project will be realised with sequence of the following events: 1. Opening event, press conference, Szeged; 2. 2017. November ‘Literary Catchment Area’ – as part of the zEtna Festival (3 writers from Serbia and 3 writers from Hungary engage in conversation in Senta); 3. 2018, March: TOLNAI LABORATORY, Szeged; 4. 2018, May: Festival of Poems Sung, Senta; 2018, June: Szeged-Senta-Kanjiza Tiszavirág (B looming of Tisa) Festival. Related events: 5. 2018, June: Tiszavirág Festival in Szeged at the same time as the Senta Festival 6. 2018, June: The Day of Kanjiza. The beautiful river of Tisa – film day 7. 2018, August: Artist's Camp in Senta 8. 2018, September: Writers Camp in Kanizsa 9. 2018, November: zEtna Festival in Senta 10. 2019, February: closing event, Szeged
