The project is a cross-border initiative of two of the leading environments for start-ups in central Sweden/Norway. The project will give start-up companies in the Nordic Green Belt increased international competitiveness and increased ability to create new jobs. By pooling the resources in the environments on both sides of the border, a new interregional incubator service will be established, an exchange program for start-ups, which will reduce the barrier effects of the border.

Prosjektet er en grenseoverskridende satsing av to av de fremste miljøene for oppstartsbedrifter i Midt-Sverige/Norge. Prosjektet vil gi oppstartsbedrifter i Nordens Grønne Belte økt internasjonal konkurransekraft og økt evne til å skape nye arbeidsplasser. Ved å samle ressursene i miljøene på begge sider av grensen skal det etableres en ny interregional inkubatortjeneste, et utvekslingsprogram for oppstartsbedrifter, noe som vil redusere grensens barriereeffekter.

Achievements (SV):

Syftet med projektet Midt-svensk norsk interregional inkubatortjeneste har varit att ”skape en interregional inkubatortjeneste som forener styrkene til de respektive inkubatormiljøene på hver side av grensen. For målbedriftene skal dette føre til økt konkurranse- og internasjonaliseringskraft, som gir høyere suksessrate og evne til å skape nye arbeidsplasser i sine regioner”. Inkubatormiljöerna i Tröndelag och Jämtland har sedan flera år tillbaka arbetat med att fördjupa samverkan över gränsen och utöka hemmamarknaden för sina start-up bolag. Som ett steg i att realisera denna samverkan ansökte Peak Region AB i Sverige och Connect Tröndelag i Norge 2017 om ett gemensamt Interreg Sverige-Norge projekt inom delområdet Nordens Gröna bälte. Projektet beviljades och startades upp 1 januari 2018 och pågick fram till 31 december 2019. Projektmålet var att skapa en gränsöverskridande operativ verksamhet som säkerställer att start up bolagen på respektive sida om gränsen får bättre möjligheter att komma in på den andra sidan, med fokus på nya kunder och kompetensförmedlingar. Norge ses oftast som den första exportmarknaden för svenska bolag och vice versa. En av projektets huvudaktiviteter har under perioden att få ett antal norska och svenska bolag att genomföra utbytesresor till andra sidan gränsen i syfte att hitta nya samarbeten och affärer i ett så kallt ”Start up Exchange” program. För att få delta och genomföra en utbytesresa krävdes att bolaget hade en skalbar affärsidé, ett potentiellt högpresterande team och en ambition att nå ut i världen och skapa ett starkt tillväxtbolag. För att realisera dessa utbytesresor har projektledarna i samverkan genomfört ett förarbete i var sin region för att skapa så bra utbyten som möjligt för företagen. De har använt sina respektive nätverk vilka inom projektet byggts ihop till ett gemensamt interregionalt CRM för respektive organisation. Genom dessa har relevanta möten och kontakter kunna sättas upp för företagen. Målet i projektet var att 16 bolag ska ha ingått i programmet (8 st från Sverige och 8 st från Norge).

Achievements (EN):

The aim of the Midt-Svensk/Norwegian interregional incubatortjeneste project has been to ‘create an interregional incubatortjeneste to the respective incubator miljøene on the side of the branch. For the purpose of achieving this objective, it is necessary to achieve competition and internal ionisation power, such as gir høyere suksessrate og evne til å Skape new arbeidsplasser in its regions’. The incubator environments in Tröndelag and Jämtland have for several years worked to deepen collaboration across the border and expand the domestic market for their start-up companies. As a step in realising this collaboration, Peak Region AB in Sweden and Connect Tröndelag in Norway in 2017 applied for a joint Interreg Sweden-Norway project in the Nordic Green Belt sub-area. The project was granted and started on 1 January 2018 and lasted until 31 December 2019. The project goal was to create a cross-border operational activity that ensures that the start-up companies on each side of the border have better opportunities to enter the other side, with a focus on new customers and competence agencies. Norway is often seen as the first export market for Swedish companies and vice versa. One of the main activities of the project has during the period to get a number of Norwegian and Swedish companies to carry out exchange trips to the other side of the border in order to find new collaborations and business in such a cold “Start up Exchange” program. To participate and carry out an exchange trip, the company needed a scalable business idea, a potentially high-performance team and an ambition to reach out to the world and create a strong growth company. In order to realise these exchange trips, the project managers have in collaboration carried out a preparatory work in each region to create as good exchanges as possible for the companies. They have used their respective networks, which within the project were built together into a common interregional CRM for each organisation. Through these, relevant meetings and contacts can be set up for companies. The goal of the project was for 16 companies to have been included in the programme (8 from Sweden and 8 from Norway).
