El proyecto PMPPM2 se ha diseñado para responder a la necesidad de valorizar y promover de manera sostenible e integral el Bien Pirineos-Monte Perdido, inscrito en la lista de Patrimonio Mundial desde 1997. Este Bien cuyo territorio se sitúa a caballo entre Francia y España, está gestionado de manera transfronteriza mediante un Comité Director Conjunto compuesto por representantes de ambos países. Se apoya en el Plan de Gestión del Bien realizado en el marco del primer proyecto PMPPM financiado en el marco de POCTEFA 2007-2013. El principal reto indentificado en este Plan, mediante la conservación del Bien, es el de su desarrollo y su atractivo. Se trata de mejorar el conocimiento, la conservación, la puesta en valor y la apropiación del Bien por parte de la sociedad y de los gestores del sitio con el fin de reforzar este atractivo. La novedad de PMPPM 2 reside en la puesta en marcha del Plan de Gestión y de esta manera lograr el desarrollo de acciones más diversificadas, más estructuradas a través de una gobernanza transfronteriza que se verá reforzada.

The PMPPM project was built to meet the need to develop and promote in a sustainable and integrated manner, the Pyrenees Mont Perdu site inscribed on the World Heritage List since 1997. This property, whose territory is situated between France and Spain, is managed in a cross-border way by a joint steering committee composed of representatives of both countries. PMPPM 2 is based on the site management plan achieved during the first project PMPPM funded under the POCTEFA 2007-2013. The main issue identified in the plan, through the conservation of the property, is its development and attractiveness. This is about improving the knowledge, the conservation, the development and the appropriation of the property from civil society and site managers to strengthen this attractiveness. The novelty of the PMPPM 2 project is the implementation of the management plan and thus the development of more diversified and structuring actions through a cross-border governance that will be reinforced.

Le projet PMPPM 2 a été construit pour répondre à la nécessité de valoriser et promouvoir de manière durable et intégrée le site Pyrénées-Mont Perdu, inscrit sur la liste du patrimoine mondial depuis 1997. Ce bien, dont le territoire est situé à cheval entre la France et l’Espagne, est donc géré de manière transfrontalière par un comité directeur conjoint composé des représentants des deux pays. PMPPM 2 s’appuie sur le plan de gestion du site réalisé lors du premier projet PMPPM financé dans le cadre du POCTEFA 2007-2013. L’enjeu principal identifié dans ce plan, au travers de la conservation du bien, est celui de son développement et de son attractivité. Il s’agira d’améliorer la connaissance, la conservation, la mise en valeur et l’appropriation du bien auprès de la société civile et des gestionnaires du site, afin de renforcer cette attractivité. La nouveauté du projet PMPPM 2 résidera dans la mise en œuvre du plan de gestion et ainsi le développement d’actions plus diversifiées, plus structurantes au travers d’une gouvernance transfrontalière qui se verra renforcée.
