Las PYMES tecnológicas del territorio transfronterizo son estratégicas para diversificar la economía, atraer inversión y proporcionar empleos de calidad, pero sus recursos económicos limitados dificultan el desarrollo de actividad I+D+i que dé lugar a nuevos productos competitivos. Por otra parte, el territorio acumula un importante patrimonio de infraestructuras y conocimiento científico y técnico en sus centros de investigación que pueden ofrecer el soporte necesario a estas empresas. El proyecto TNSI creará un Nodo Tecnológico focalizado en la cooperación entre PYMEs y Centros de Investigación en materia de Nanotecnologías, Materiales Avanzados y Fabricación Avanzada, que forman parte de las Tecnologías Esenciales Facilitadoras (Key Enabling Technologies, KET). Se desarrollarán tres actividades fundamentales: 1) Investigación pre-competitiva: Las PYME y Centros colaborarán en el estudio de tecnologías clave, explorando tanto su potencial técnico como económico. 2) Investigación fundamental: Productos desarrollados por las PYMEs serán integrados en proyectos de investigación, para identificar mejoras que permitan abordar nuevos mercados. 3) Formación: Un programa de estancias bidireccional entre personal de las PYME y jóvenes investigadores permitirá mejorar su formación y facilitar la transición academia/empresa. Estas acciones se reforzarán con un intenso programa de comunicación y divulgación, que incluye varios encuentros especializados y una escuela de verano.

Les PME technologiques du territoire transfrontalier sont cruciales pour diversifier l'économie, attirer des investissements et créer des emplois de qualité, mais leurs ressources économiques limitées entravent le progrès de leur activité en R&D&i conduisant à de nouveaux produits compétitifs. D’autre part, le territoire possède un capital important en infrastructures et en connaissances scientifiques et techniques localisé dans les centres de recherche qui pourraient apporter le soutien nécessaire à ces PME. Le projet TNSI créera un Nœud Technologique axé sur la coopération entre des PME et des centres de recherche focalisés sur les nanotechnologies, les matériaux avancés et la fabrication de pointe, qui font partie des technologies clés génériques (Key Enabling Technologies, KET). Il se centre sur trois activités: 1) Recherche précompétitive: les PME et les centres collaborent à l'étude des technologies clés, en explorant leur potentiel technique et économique. 2) Recherche fondamentale: les produits développés par les PME seront intégrés dans des projets de recherche afin d'identifier les améliorations qui répondront à de nouveaux marchés. 3) Formation: un programme d’échanges entre les personnels des PME et les jeunes chercheurs permettra d'améliorer la formation et de faciliter la transition école / entreprise. Ces actions seront renforcées par un programme soutenu de communication et de sensibilisation, qui comprend plusieurs réunions spécialisées et une école d'été.

Description (EN):

Technological SMEs in the cross border territory are strategic for diversifying the economy, attracting investment and providing quality jobs, but their limited economic resources make difficult to develop R&D&i activity that leads to new competitive products. On the other hand, the territory accumulates an important patrimony of infrastructures and scientific and technical knowledge in its research centers that can offer the necessary support to these companies. The TNSI project will create a Technological Node focused on cooperation between SMEs and Research Centers in Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials and Advanced Manufacturing, which are part of Key Enabling Technologies (KET). Three key activities will be developed: 1) Pre-competitive research: SMEs and Centers will collaborate in the study of key technologies, exploring both their technical and economic potential. 2) Fundamental research: Products developed by SMEs will be integrated into research projects, to identify improvements that allow new markets to be addressed. 3) Training: A two-way program between SME staff and young researchers will improve their training and facilitate academic / business transition. These actions will be reinforced with an intense program of communication and dissemination, which includes several specialized meetings and a summer school.
