Le projet INTURPYR s'inscrit dans la stratégie touristique du GECT Espace Pourtalet crée en 2011. Un comité de pilotage tourisme a été mis en place avec des partenaires extérieurs et a construit sa stratégie autour d’un axe majeur : travailler conjointement à la construction d'une destination transfrontalière unique au cœur des Pyrénées qui structure et réponde aux besoins touristiques du territoire. L'objectif consiste avant tout dans la création concertée d'une stratégie de différenciation touristique grâce à la coopération et au partenariat participatif public/privé de tous les acteurs et de la population locale. La plus-value transfrontalière se traduit par la gouvernance même du projet au travers du GECT, structure qui permet de fédérer l’ensemble des acteurs touristiques concernés et de les amener vers une volonté de mutualisation de leur stratégie de développement. La première expérience touristique s’est traduite par la création d'un premier Office de Tourisme Transfrontalier sur la chaîne des Pyrénées. L’innovation de ce projet réside dans la mise en place d’un groupement professionnel unique et d’un centre de recherche d'innovation touristique soutenue par les professionnels du tourisme mais également dans la construction d’une offre unique et ciblée sur une stratégie partagée de développement touristique qui se matérialisera par des produits touristiques transfrontaliers innovateurs qui garantira de la durabilité du projet.

El proyecto INTURPYR se inscribe en la estrategia turística de la AECT Espacio Portalet creada en 2011. Un Comité de Pilotaje Turismo ha sido establecido con los socios exteriores y ha construido su estrategia alrededor de un eje mayor: trabajar conjuntamente en la construcción de un destino transfronterizo único en el corazón de los Pirineos, que estructure y responda a las necesidades turísticas del territorio. El objetivo consiste ante todo en la creación concertada de una estrategia de diferenciación turística gracias a la cooperación y al partenariado participativo público y privado, de todos los actores y de la población local. El valor añadido transfronterizo se traduce por el gobierno mismo del proyecto a través del AECT, como la estructura que permite federar el conjunto de los actores turísticos implicados y de llevarlos hacia una voluntad de mutualizar sus estrategias de desarrollo. La primera experiencia turística conllevó la construcción de la primera Oficina de Turismo transfronterizo en los Pirineos. La innovación de este proyecto reside en la creación de una agrupación profesional única y de un centro de investigación, de innovación turística apoyado por los profesionales del turismo, así como en la construcción de una oferta única dirigida bajo una estrategia compartida de desarrollo turístico que se materializará en productos turísticos transfronterizos innovadores que garantizará la sostenibilidad del proyecto.

The INTURPYR project is enrolled in the GECT Espace Pourtalet touristic strategy. A steering touristic committee has been set with external partners and it has developed a strategy around a bigger lead: working together to build a unique cross-border destination in the heart of Pyrenees, which outlines and meets the territory needs. The main goal is above all the planned creation of a touristic differentiation strategy thanks to the cooperation and to the public and private participatory partnership of all actors and local population. The cross-border added value results from the governance project through the GECT, a structure that allows grouping the touristic actors together and, from bringing them to one mutual commitment for their development strategy. The first touristic experience led to the first cross-border Tourist office by the chain of Pyrenees. The project innovation means setting up a unique professional grouping and a research innovation institute for tourism backed by tourist professionals but, at the same time, it means the construction of a unique and targeted offer on a shared development strategy for tourism, which will materialize by cross-border touristic products and will guarantee the durability of the project.
