En Europa, se utilizan1500000 toneladas de bioplásticos en el sector agrícola de las cuales 140000 toneladas en Francia y 226380 toneladas en España. Estos plásticos, hoy en día en su mayor parte fabricados a partir de recursos no-renovables (petróleo), generando problemas en fin de vida, con vías de tratamiento restrictivas y poco utilizadas. BIOPLAST tiene como objetivo desarrollar productos a partir de recursos renovables (principalmente residuos agrícolas) y desarrollar nuevas vías de valorización y de tratamiento de estos bioplásticos (metanización, compostaje) con un retorno al suelo de las biomasas residuales (digestato, compost). Se trata de crear una vía real de Economía Circular territorial que crea valor para el sector agrícola y agroalimentario en los territorios transfronterizos. Para conseguir este objetivo BIOPLAST se basa en la sinergia de competencias en investigación e innovación al nivel transfronterizo para, por una parte, implantar una vía innovante y sostenible de producción de bioplásticos en el territorio POCTEFA y por otra parte proponer soluciones locales de valorización en circuitos cortos de los bioplásticos usados en agricultura. Debido a la colaboración transfronteriza, los resultados y procesos obtenidos en el proyecto mismo seran validados y comparados en sistemas agrícolas variados y luego extendidos al Territorio Europeo.

En Europe, ce sont 1500000 tonnes de plastiques qui sont utilisés dans le secteur agricole dont 140000 tonnes en France et 226380 tonnes en Espagne. Ces plastiques, aujourd’hui majoritairement issus de ressources non renouvelables (pétrole), génèrent des problèmes de fin de vie, avec des filières de traitement contraignantes et sous-utilisées. Le projet BIOPLAST vise à développer des plastiques produits à partir de ressources renouvelables (principalement des déchets agricoles) et à développer de nouvelles filières de valorisation et de traitement de ces bioplastiques (méthanisation, compostage) avec un retour au sol des biomasses résiduaires (digestat, compost). Il s’agit donc de créer une vraie filière d’Economie Circulaire territoriale qui crée de la valeur pour l’activité agricole et agroalimentaire des territoires transfrontaliers. Pour cela, le projet BIOPLAST va s’appuyer sur la synergie des compétences en recherche et en innovation au niveau transfrontalier de façon à, d’une part, mettre en place une filière innovante et durable de production de bioplastiques sur le territoire POCTEFA et d’autre part proposer des solutions locales de valorisation en circuits courts des bioplastiques utilisés en agriculture. Du fait de la collaboration transfrontalière, les résultats et processus obtenus au sein du Projet pourront être validés et comparés sur des systèmes agricoles variés et étendus par la suite au Territoire Européen.

Description (EN):

In Europe, 1500000 tons of plastics are used in the agricultural sector, including 140000 tons in France and 226380 tons in Spain. Nowadays, these plastics mostly produced from non-renewable resources (oil), create end-of-life problems, due to restricted and badly identified treatment channels. The BIOPLAST project aims to develop bioplastics production from renewable resources (mainly agricultural waste) and to develop new ways to upgrade and treat these bioplastics (anaerobic digestion, composting) with a return of residual biomasses in the soil (digestate, compost, ...). The Project will promote the creation of a Territorial Circular Economy sector which will create local value for the agricultural and agri-food activity in cross-border territories. To do this, the BIOPLAST project will rely on the synergy of research skills and innovation at the cross-border level in order to set up an innovative and sustainable pathway for the production of bioplastics in the POCTEFA area and to propose local solutions for the valorization in short circuits of bioplastics used in agriculture. As a result of the cross-border collaboration, the results and processes obtained within the Project will be validated and compared on various agricultural systems and subsequently extended to the European Territory.
