Description (EN):

The Pyrenees cultural, environmental, landscape and productive heritage has been generated by the availability and use of natural resources that have configured specific agriculture and livestock systems, based on the use of pastures with local breeds. These systems represent an essential instrument for the conservation of large areas of POCTEFA Area natural habitats and for its economic and social development, being the sustainability one of its main challenges. Nowadays there are different sustainability diagnosis tools that present limitations for its application in the Pyrenean systems. EMENSASPI project aims at establishing a space for generating and sharing knowledge about the sustainability of the Pyrenees agriculture and livestock systems through cross-border cooperation schemes achieving environmental, economic and social objectives simultaneously. The project will articulate 1) joint review of the different existing diagnostic tools in the Pyrenees, 2) The development and validation of a new computer tool with common criteria in order to 3) analyze and improve the sustainability of the Pyrenean agriculture and livestock systems. The results will represent a sustainability tool and the proposal of agricultural practices and sustainable business models, which will be reported in the Pyrenees taking advantage of the Advisory services and training of partners and associates.

El patrimonio cultural, ambiental, paisajístico y productivo del Pirineo se ha generado por la disponibilidad y aprovechamiento de recursos naturales que han configurado sistemas agro-ganaderos específicos, basados en el aprovechamiento de pastos con razas autóctonas. Estos sistemas constituyen un instrumento esencial para la conservación de áreas extensas de hábitats naturales del Área POCTEFA y para su desarrollo económico y social, siendo la sostenibilidad uno de sus principales retos. A día de hoy existen distintas herramientas de diagnóstico de sostenibilidad que presentan limitaciones para su aplicación en los sistemas pirenaicos. El proyecto EMENSASPI plantea establecer un espacio de generación e intercambio de conocimiento sobre la sostenibilidad de los sistemas agro-ganaderos del Pirineo a través de la cooperación transfronteriza conjugando la consecución de manera simultánea de objetivos ambientales, técnico-económicos y sociales. El proyecto va a articular 1)la revisión conjunta de diferentes herramientas de diagnóstico existentes en el Pirineo,2)el desarrollo y validación de una nueva herramienta informática con criterios comunes de cara a 3)analizar y mejorar la sostenibilidad de los sistemas agro-ganaderos pirenaicos. Los resultados serán una herramienta de sostenibilidad y la propuesta de prácticas agrarias y modelos de explotación sostenibles que se divulgarán en el Pirineo aprovechando los servicios de asesoramiento y formación de socios y asociados

Le patrimoine culturel, environnemental, paysager et productif des Pyrénées a pour origine la disponibilité et l'utilisation de certaines ressources naturelles par des systèmes agricoles spécifiques basés sur l'utilisation de pâturages avec des races autochtones. Ces systèmes constituent un moyen essentiel pour la conservation de vastes zones d'habitats naturels du territoire POCTEFA ainsi que pour leur développement économique et social. Leur durabilité constitue un enjeu essentiel. Il existe actuellement plusieurs outils de diagnostic de durabilité des exploitations qui présentent des limites d’application dans le contexte des systèmes pyrénéens. Le projet EMENSASPI se propose de mettre en place un espace de production et d’échanges de connaissance sur la durabilité des systèmes agricoles des Pyrénées à travers la coopération transfrontalière, en tenant compte simultanément d’objectifs environnementaux, technico-économiques et sociaux. Le projet réalisera 1) une révision en commun des différents outils de diagnostics existants sur les Pyrénées puis 2) développera et validera un nouvel outil informatique avec des critères communs pour 3) analyser et améliorer la durabilité des systèmes agricoles pyrénéens. Les résultats seront un outil de diagnostic de durabilité et la proposition de pratiques agricoles et de modeles d’exploitation durables, qui seront vulgarisés dans les Pyrénées via les services de conseil et de formation des partenaires et des associés.
