Description (EN):

The main activities of the project will be related to the rehabilitation, conservation and promotion of the natural heritage in a sustainable way. The project aims to enforce a set of measures to protect, preserve and harness of the protected natural heritage from Natura 2000 ROSCI0062 Defileul Crișului Repede – Pădurea Craiului and Natura 2000 Berekböszörmény–Körmösdpusztai legelők HUHN 20103 sites, to promote the natural and cultural potential and of the measures for protection and environment protection on the both sides of the Romanian – Hungarian border. Thus is intended to create a multifunctional center for monitoring, protecting and preserving of the nature through the rehabilitation of the Vadu Crișului cottage which is situated in the Natura 2000 ROSCI0062 Defileul Crișului Repede – Pădurea Craiului sit and it is in an advance degree of degradation. The project main results are: - three thematic paths in the area; - a site of the project will be created; - two workshops will be organized; - Körösszegapáti City Hall will realize and Info Center for Natura 2000 Berekböszörmény–Körmösdpusztai legelők HUHN 20103 sit, fitting of an access road to the sit and a thematic path; - a system for quantity and quality monitoring for the touristic activity in the site will be implemented.

Expected Results (EN): R 6/c Tourist overnight stays in the eligible programme area

Expected Outputs (EN):

The project will contribute to the enhancement of the furnished surfaces dedicated to the bio-diversity protection with at least 300 hectares and also to the increasing of the number of tourists that will be able to visit the furnished areas benefiting from information and guidance. A growth of the overnights stays with 8 – 10% in Bihor and Hajdu – Bihar Counties is estimated in the next five years after the implementation of the project The main results of the project will be: one Center for the monitoring and preserving of the nature, one Center for promoting of the resources connected to the natural resources, at Vadu Crisului, one Info and tourist management Center, an arranged access road and viewpoints at Koroszegapati, events and promotional materials for the environment protection on the both sides of the border. The present project is reporting to the Result indicator - Tourist overnight stays in the eligible programme area and to the Output indicator- Increase in expected number of visits to supported sites of cultural and natural heritage and attractions as well as to the Output indicator - Surface area of habitats supported to attain a better conservation status. The project is in accordance with the objectives of the co-operation programme, regarding the improvement of the basic conditions of the common development in the co-operation area. The development of the environmental infrastructure in the protected natural areas, as well as, the contribution to their better knowledge by the large public, on both sides of the border, will lead to their better protection and to the removal of the risk of producing ecological unbalances through the disappearance of some of the protected species.
